Because at the moment there is no incentive for people to continue to buy or hold their tokens, and I don't think this is going to change because the only case is curation.
The more important of those are the no incentive to hold/stake their tokens apart from curation rewards.
The only way to save the value of the token is to add additional value for peoole to not sell their tokens, staking rewards is one way that I know works.

I know that... more and more we see tokens being created in the various blockchains that exist that give rewards to token holders
I think here we need to start to do this otherwise the token will reach 0 as value.
