A Speed Bump Ride For Liverpool.

Klopp has every reason to be angry and after watching his post-match analysis, you can see that he knew they have missed the chance against Manchester City with the way the title run in is, I don't expect Manchester City to drop many points after all.

I am not saying it's a done deal for Manchester City but the fixtures are kinder to City than Liverpool, especially towards the ending of the season. This is the reality that hits Klopp so hard and that's why he felt they should have won this game.

It is not surprising that Tottenham proved to be the stumbling block for Liverpool. Tottenham needs that top 4 finish too and I don't expect them to roll over because it's Liverpool. I knew it would be a tight affair but I thought Liverpool might win it due to the inconsistency that has trailed Tottenham all through the season. With Arsenal in a better form, they knew they have to avoid a defeat.

You don't need any motivation for this match because both teams know what's at stake. Liverpool wants to get to the top spot while Tottenham wants to out-stage Arsenal. Liverpool managed to get the top spot even with the 1-1 draw against Tottenham but Tottenham didn't get their wish. Liverpool sits at the top with the same point as City on 83 while Tottenham still trails Arsenal by 1 point having played a game more.

I already predicted that Manchester City would win the league while Arsenal would pull one over their North London rivals and everything looks shaped to make that happen. Arsenal will take on Leeds United and Manchester City would take on Newcastle United. Liverpool would hope Newcastle United can cause the upset and win against City while relegation-threatened Leeds would get the support from Tottenham so the gap won't be opened up in case Arsenal wins.

Nothing is done and dusted and this is just a bump on the road for Liverpool. They can only hope other teams would do them a favour because it's no longer in their hands right now. They are now at the mercy of Newcastle United. Manchester City knows they are closer to the title and they have to banish the frustration of the Champions League defeat if they are to get the better of Newcastle United but there is no telling how that defeat against Real Madrid can dampen the mood.

Luis Diaz has more than proved his worth to Liverpool in this first season with them and I believe he would get better as the new season comes in. Even if Liverpool failed to win the Premier League, the experience they have gathered with chasing City would stand them in a good place because they have learned how to handle pressure and that's what the Premier League is all about.

Right now, Liverpool just has to sit on tight and hope to God that Manchester City would drop points as we come close to the business end of the season and this is the crucial stage. Every team needs all the help they can get but they would also need to tidy their ends.

Cheers.

Nothing is done and noted yet in the EPL, I concur.

Until the end of the season, I still believe there is hope for Liverpool although City is the favourite as it stands.

They are the favourite and that's true but EPL is funny. Anything can happen.
