A bitter defeat for Sri Lanka

The Afghanistan team managed to win the first ODI match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan today (25).

After winning the toss and batting first, the Afghanistan team scored a total of 294 runs for the loss of 08 wickets at the end of the scheduled 50 overs.
Accordingly, the target for the Sri Lankan batsmen to win the match is 295 runs.
But the Afghan bowlers limited Sri Lanka's innings to 234 runs and gave Afghanistan the joy of winning the first match.

At the end of 38 overs, the Sri Lankan team scored only 234 runs.

Pathum Nissanka scored 85 runs and Vanindu Hasaranga scored 66 runs for the Sri Lankan innings.

Accordingly, Afghanistan won by 60 runs.
