The GO PRO HERO 8 will be a game changer for your surfing photos and videos. It's a bit expensive but it's worth investing in if you want to produce quality shots! I'm into freediving and I also bought my own GO PRO HERO 9 so I can take more beautiful videos to share here on Hive and it's really worth it.

Thank you so much! Wow, freediving sounds intense! Do you go deep enough such that it gets dark and you have to take your own light source down for the footage?
I can only go as much as 10meters for now. I still plan on getting my certifications so I can go deeper to 20m - 30m deep. It requires the proper training first.
How long have you been surfing? I miss that feeling when I was able to stand on my board and ride the waves! It was years back when I learned to surf but it was just for fun.
Of course, my understanding is you can still get the Bends from freediving so you have to be properly trained.
I have surfed for years, but I live in the middle of the Peninsula about 30-45 minutes from the beach in various directions, so I don't get to surf as much as some of my friends, who are a lot better as a result! I seem to be surfing slightly more and improving a bit for the first time in ages lately, despite becoming a father to my baby daughter last year.
What happened to your surfing? Did you move away from good waves or lose the board?
