Good day my hive friends. It's another beautiful time to share with you my visit to a division one football team in my hometown.

Last Friday I went to the training grounds of Asekem FC a Division 1 football team in my hometown. They were busily preparing for their weekend encounter with a Abusua Dwarfs another division one side also based on in Cape Coast.

A lot of activities were going on when I visited them and I was very impressed with how their coach Oti Akenten was preparing the team for that encounter with Dwarfs.

He took them in a lot of drills to sharpen their shooting skills thier passing skills and their tackling and defensive skills as well.

They also did a lot of singing and prayers after they had completed their training session all in the name of committing the team and the entire playlist to God.

Dwarfs are one of the oldest teams in Ghana which has played in the Ghana Premier League for a long time but was recently relegated to The division 1 and are poised to qualify from the other zone which is zone 2 to play in the Premier League again.

Asekem on the other hand are also a newly promoted team to The Division 1. They were promoted in the just ended division 2 league in Ashanti region and are also poised to qualify to the Ghana Premier League

Having developed their own sport Stadium and have a lot of resources behind them they just want to qualify to the Ghana Premier League.

On Sunday 6th November, 2022 at 3 p.m. on the Robert Mensah sports stadium the match got underway and in the second minute of the game Asekem drew the first blood through Danzel Asekem number 14 shirted man.

As if they were going to be more goals in the match but that was the only goal that was scored in the entire 90 minutes and that made Asekem win their second away game.
The results leaves them as the only team that has not lost in the six rounds of matches played.

They returned home with all the 3 maximum points and are hoping to win their next home match which is against Skyy FC.

On the part of the fans they are also poised in supporting the team to qualify to the Premier League .

They should keep up their performance to enable them win all their matches so qualification becomes easy for them.

May the good Lord bless them and make them great and strong.
