El baloncesto es un juego de 5 contra 5, si tienes 2 grandes anotadores, un buen armador, y una buena estrategia defensiva, posiblemente estarás en una posición cercana a ganar encuentros. Para mi Filadelfia contaba con esos elementos, Harden a pesar de las críticas, encontró su rol en el equipo, entendió su función, y tenía la capacidad de influir de manera importante en los partidos claves, pero las lesiones los encontraron en un momento donde ninguna profundidad de ningún equipo puede sustituir la participación de un Joel Embid saludable.

El equipo de Butler, Adebayo, y Lowry, salió a conseguir puntos, rebotes, y robos, esa ha sido la clave, no han perdido el balón, le han permitido a Embid muchos lanzamientos sin marca, porque con la máscara no se ha visto efectivo, han puesto una zona defensiva bien marcada, y le han negado cualquier tipo de ritmo anotador a Harden o Maxey. La lesión temprana de Danny Green también les facilitó la tarea a los dirigidos por Spoelstra, pero más allá de eso, su toma de decisiones fue eficiente, tomaron muchos lanzamientos desde media distancia, sin abusar del triple, y jugando con el ritmo del rival, lograron establecer una ofensiva paciente, capaz de esperar hasta el final de la posesión, dando el pase extra, para conseguir el lugar más abierto.

Max Struss fue la gran sorpresa del partido, con una gran ofensiva, desde larga y media distancia, además de sumar una defensiva consistente, pero para mí el gran protagonista de este juego de eliminación fue Jimmy Butler, porque simplemente estuvo ahí durante los 48 minutos haciéndolo todo, rebotando una pelota, llevándola al otro costado, asistiendo, lanzando con paciencia, tomando las mejores decisiones, desde hacer una finta de tiro para hacer el pase para el poste bajo, hasta buscar su propio falló después de un intento de media distancia, conseguir el balón, posicionarse para el triple, lográndolo, con gran visión, y cabeza fría, todo porque se dedicó a jugar baloncesto al ciento por ciento, siempre con los fundamentos.
