Chelsea are not slowing down and it looks like it's their title to lose with how they have been in formidable form. Chelsea seems to be the favourite for this season after the brilliant work Thomas Tuchel has done with this side. The takeover of Newcastle hasn't done so much to inspire them to victories and Chelsea made sure they wouldn't be at the receiving end of that inspiration as they heaped 3 goals against the Magpies on their turf at Saint James' Park.
Reece James was the man who scored two spectacular goals before Jorginho scored his usual penalty to get the 3 points for Chelsea and keep them at the top of the summit after Liverpool drew against Brighton and Manchester City lost against Crystal Palace. The good thing about Chelsea is that the goals pop up from everywhere and they are not reliant on a single player to get them the goals.
Chelsea should have taken the lead early on with Ziyech after he blasted over the ball a lovely delivery into the box by Reece James. Despite an uneventful first-half showing from both sides, Chelsea had to turn up and Reece James delivered the goods in the 66th minute after Hudson Odoi’s delivery into the box managed to find him. He controlled the ball well before blasting the shot into the roof of the net. It was a magnificent goal and spectacular too.
In the 77th minute, he scored even a more devastating and spectacular goal after Loftus-Cheek's shot was blocked and the ball fell graciously to him. He hit his shot one time and left the goalkeeper with no chance. I doubt any goalkeeper would have saved that anyway given the speed, accuracy and direction of the shot.
Chelsea rounded off the win in the 81st minute after Kai Havertz was brought down inside the box by the goalkeeper; Darlow. The referee pointed to the spot and Jorginho as expected, stepped up to convert the ball and increased the lead to 3-0 and register his first Premier League goal of the season.
Chelsea made the win look easy, no doubt and they stay at the top of the summit and no one can question whether they deserved it or not. They have been sensational this season.
