Everton hosted Fulham at Goodison Park. Fulham are in desperate need of points and Everton would want the 3 points too so they can push for Europe. Both teams in need of points for different reasons.

The last time Fulham won was against Leicester City on the road and they delivered again when they totally outplayed Everton at home.

Everton has lost 3 of their 4 Premier League games at Goodison Park and they drew 1, in as many defeats as they have suffered in Carlo Ancelotti's first 17 home games in charge of the Toffees in the competition. They have won 8 and drawn 6.

Fulham picked up their first-ever away win against Everton at home in the Premier League competition and that was in 28 attempts. Before now, Fulham had lost each of their last 22 away league games against Everton.

Everton also, they have only kept just 1 clean sheet in 15 Premier League games at Goodison Park with that clean sheet coming against Chelsea back on December 12th, last year when they won 1-0 against Chelsea.

Fulham almost took the lead when Reid's flick almost went in but the base of the post kept it out. Not too long after, Lookman was also found in the box but he sent his effort shockingly wide.

Fulham showed great desire and they showed they wanted the result even more. Everton still looked uncoordinated and they relied on the counter-attack. Rodriguez found Andre Gomes who tried an audacious long-range effort but it went wide.

Fulham lost possession and Seamus Coleman picked it up and ran the length of the field. He got to the edge of the box and he went for it himself. His effort was kept out by the base of the post.

The moment of truth came in the 48th minute when Lookman found Ola Aina and he flashed his effort across goal and Maja had the easiest of tap ins. He got a goal on his first start. He must be in dreamland and his positioning was amazing too.

It wasn't long again before he added his second on the night. In the 65th minute, Lookman found Reid who drove in and had a shot. He was targeting the base of the post and the keeper had a touch that Maja was on hand to pounce on. The rebound fell to him and he tapped in again. Maja showed great awareness and he expertly followed up with the ball. That was a great striker's instinct, a poacher.

Fulham had a great showing in the day and Everton would try to banish the horrors of this night. They would expect better performance when they take on the leaders, Manchester City for their outstanding game. A win for City would extend their lead at the top of the summit and a win for Everton would draw them close to Europe.
