A good start for United and you can see straight away that Ten Haag needs to use these friendlies to establish team tactics and identity whereas Klopp just needs to get a few minutes in his team’s legs.
That was probably not far off United’s starting XI for their first Premier League match whereas for Liverpool you’d imagine only 3 of those guys who started will be walking out for their opening match.
I think it might be a bit closer when the 2 teams meet in mid-August at Old Trafford. That will be the real acid test for any impact the new manager has had!

It was a great start for United and for ten Hag, indeed! The dutchman has to use up these preseason matches, as you well mention, to establish his idea into his lads.
I absolutely agree with you on the matter that Klopp's starting eleven would be much different from the one he used up in this friendly, while ten Hag's will end up being pretty similar to the one in Bangkok.
Aand yes, the real tests for ten Hag are coming up when the season begins!

I think it is a little too soon to speak about possible turn arounds in this team. I think it was a great performance but pre season games are turely not the once who are worth it to take into consideration.
