No surprise that Spurs won really. My Saints haven't won an opening day fixture since 2013/14. The schedulers hate us so much too that including that victory we've opened the season away from home 7 times out of the last 10, with only a win and a draw from those 7 games, so the odds were always against us winning. However, fair play to Spurs they were excellent going forward and deserved winners

Jesus @stevermac1966 I didn't know about Southamptons woes on the opening day. It's interesting. And there were teams they would have loved to got like Villa or Everton on opening day. There were a few Rusty teams that didn't know the premiership started. Liverpool and Chelsea come to mind. Even if you got them. I think Spurs or City were the worst teams you could have got
