I won't deny the fact that Guardiola is one of the best coach in the world presently, but am not convinced with his champions league credentials because has never been able to proof that since he has left Barcelona back then.
Champions league has been the most elite competition in the football world with Madrid holding the longest team to be crowned the champion and they have been dominating this competition for years even with combination of young and old players they have.
Should I say Guardiola really lack luck or he always get it wrong when it matter most. Manchester City win the first leg of the champion league semifinal at the Etihad stadium by four goals to three and that's give them the upper hand when they visit Madrid at home but it was a vice versa even despite the fact that Manchester City were the first team to score but that could not stopped them from being eliminated from the competition as Real Madrid make a strong come back courtesy a brace from the young boy Rodrygo who have been improving as the competition keeps getting deep, and winning goal from the most inform player on the planet in person of Karim Benzema who calmly slot in from penalty spot after he was brought down by Manchester City defender in the box.
Manchester City has been one of most competitive team and one of the best team in Europe but despite all this quality within their disposal, they lack the momentum or let me say the luck especially at the later stage of the competition. Sometimes, I asked myself if Guardiola was not good enough to win the Champions league with another team apart from Barcelona.
After left Barcelona for Bayern Munich, despite his team dominating the league, he was not able to win it for the Bavarian team before he left for Manchester City in England. Since he joined,he has built an amazing team,a strong one to be precise but they always fail when it matter most especially during the latter stage of the Champions league competition which has been their most look out for over the years.
Rodrygo started the comeback for the Spanish side when he comes in for Toni Kross and he made an instant contribution since coming in. With his two goals Real Madrid were able to make a comeback before Benzema added a goal from the spot and Manchester City were lost in the process as the keep pushing but couldn't find a way through and this mark another end to their champions league first silverware in the competition.

They made a huge mistake to think the game was done and Guardiola is a coach that hardly shove up his backline because he doesn't like defending so deep. Real Madrid punished them and they have themselves to blame yet again.
That's usually common to Guardiola especially when he his in latter stage of the competition.
