10. Lois Openda

RB Leipzig has a habit of nurturing some of the best strikers in the world in recent times. Lois Openda is further proof of that. The Belgian was picked up by the Bundesliga club from Lens in 2023 after helping the Ligue 1 club to a second place finish in the 2022-23 season.

After scoring 21 goals with Lens last season before his move to Leipzig, he hit the ground running with 9 goals in his first 11 games for his new club.

9. Serhou Guirassy

Before this season you may not have heard of Serhou Guirassy but he's rocketed into our list thanks to a lightning start at Stuttgart taking only nine games to score his first 15 goals in the Bundesliga. Whether he can keep the run of form up will remain to be seen but the Guinean is a refreshing addition to our list.

8. Randal Kolo Muani

Randal Kolo Muani had a stellar season with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022-23 which earned him a move to PSG in a deal worth about £77 million. It's a big money deal for the 24-year old but he regularly draws comparisons to Thierry Henry.

Muani's career could have already taken a very different path had he converted a 120th minute chance in the World Cup Final but you get the feeling that he's got something special in him in the years ahead.

7. Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski scored a remarkable 41 goals in just 29 appearances in the Bundesliga in 2020-21 to break Gerd Muller's 40-year old record of most goals in a season. His move to Barcelona was so well received in 2022, the club had to stop selling his jersey as they had run out of the letter "W".

In his first year at the club he scored 23 goals in 34 league appearances. Barcelona will be looking to establish themselves as the greatest team in world football again with Lewandowski's football intelligence and consistency.

6. Lautaro Martinez

Argentine Lautaro Martinez is one of the best strikers in the world and helped guide Inter Milan into the 2023 Champions League Final. The clinical finisher has been one of Inter's best players in recent history and his consistency since joining from Racing Club in 2018 has helped establish Inter as one of the powerhouses of European football.

5. Karim Benzema

Heading into his mid-30's, Ballon d'Or 2022 winner Karim Benzema is only getting better as he gets older. During the 2021-22 season he scored 44 goals and 15 assists in 46 games. Following the expiration of his contract with Real Madrid in 2023 he signed with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad.

Benzema is set to earn a mind boggling £86 million a season at the club but he's already helped the Saudi Pro League's stature in world football by playing in the league, and scored 8 goals in his first 12 games.

4. Victor Osimhen

Osimhen continues to be one of the best strikers in the world and keeps on getting better. He's got the height, pace, physicality and technical skills to become the greatest in the future.

A haul of 26 goals in 32 games last season got the attention of everybody, but a history of niggling injuries could be his downfall. If he remains fit it's only a matter of time before his joins one of the biggest clubs in the world.

3. Harry Kane

Three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner Harry Kane left Tottenham for Bayern Munich in a deal worth a reported £82m. One of the most consistent and clinical finishers in the world, he continues to smash records in the Bundesliga taking only 12 games to score his first 18 goals.

A handful for defenders with his physical strength, Kane could very well become the best striker in the world in the years ahead if he continues his goal scoring form.

2. Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is the second best striker in the world after placing first on our list last year. He's always been tactically and technically brilliant from a young age, as well as having great anticipation that allows him to predict what a defenders next move is going to be.

What Mbappe needs to do however is help guide PSG to Champions League glory or, leave and win it with another club. He also continues to score in Ligue 1 at record-breaking pace but could he keep up that consistency in the Premier League?

Depending on who you ask though, Mbappe is still considered the best striker in the world by many.

1. Erling Haaland

Norwegian Erling Haaland is the best Premier League striker in the world. A generational talent, he helped guide Manchester City to their first Champions League title in 2023. It took only six games in the Premier League for Haaland to score his 10th goal. His first 25 goals took just 19 games.

Haaland will no doubt join the list of best Premier League strikers of all time and its the fact that he's proven himself in the world's best league which gives him the crown of best striker in the world in 2024.
