I finally managed to get the front tires changed; the situation had worsened since I had the tie rod ends replaced a little over a month ago. At that time, the tires had plenty of life left, in fact, I rotated them and they could have easily lasted another 6 months. But what the mechanic did left the tires in such bad shape that I urgently needed to replace them.
Alineación y cauchos nuevos - Una necesidad urgente
Finalmente pude hacer el cambio de los cauchos delanteros, la situación se agravó desde que hice el cambio de mesera y terminal hace poco más de un mes. En ese momento los cauchos tenían mucho más vida, de hecho los rote y fácilmente podrían soportar 6 meses más, pero lo hecho por el mecánico dejo en muy mala posición los cauchos al punto de verme en la necesidad urgente de buscar el cambio.
When the tie rod ends were changed, the mechanic didn't leave the steering wheel centered, plus the car was pulling really hard to the right. Getting it aligned was urgent, but due to various reasons, I couldn't do it right away, and the days kept passing, of course, with the constant worry of having to get it aligned as soon as possible.
Cuando se hizo el cambio de terminal, el mecánico no dejo el volante en posición, además el carro jalaba muy fuerte a la derecha, alinearlo era urgente, pero por múltiples razones no pude hacer de inmediato y fueron pasando los días, claro que con la preocupación constante se tener que alinear lo antes posible.
When I checked the tires a week later, they were already quite worn on the inside, which set off alarm bells. It wasn't just about getting an alignment anymore; now I had to buy new tires. What should have been a normal thing, given the country's economic situation, making money takes longer than usual, something I didn't have because the tires were wearing down more and more.
Cuando chequeo los cauchos a la semana, ya se había comido bastante por la parte interna, eso encendió las alarmas, ya no solo era alinear, ahora debía comprar cauchos. Lo que debería ser normal, por la situación país que vivimos, hacer el dinero toma más tiempo de lo habitual, algo que no tenía porque los cauchos se comían cada vez más y más.
For years, I've had a place where I always buy my tires, after a lot of research, it's the most affordable place that offers all the services, it's called Cauchos Guia (Tire Guide). Obviously, I was going to go for the most economical option, so I asked about Chinese tires; both with balancing, air valve replacement, and alignment, would cost $70.
Desde hace años ya tengo un sitio donde siempre compro los cauchos, tras mucha investigación, es el sitio más económico que ofrece todos los servicios, se llama Cauchos Guia. Obviamente me iría por la opción más económica, así que pregunté por cauchos chinos, ambos con el balanceo, cambio de válvula de aire y alineación, tendrían un costo de 70$.
We finally got the money together, and just in time because the metal mesh of the tire's casing was already exposed and starting to come apart; at any moment, one of the two tires could have blown out or simply lost air. It wasn't just urgent to change the tires, it was also crucial to get an alignment because it was pulling so hard to the right, which would have worn down the new tires as well. Thank God, everything was taken care of, and we're much more relaxed to keep using the vehicle.
Finalmente completamos el dinero y justo a tiempo porque ya la malla metálica de la lona estaba expuesta y comenzaba a comerse, en cualquier momento alguno de los dos cauchos explotaba o simplemente perdía el aire. No solo era urgente cambiar los cauchos, era alinear debido a que jalaba mucho hacia la derecha, eso desgataría los cauchos nuevo también. Gracias a Dios se pudo hacer todo y ya estamos mas tranquilos para seguir usando el vehículo.

Actualmente los cauchos chinos son una buena alternativa por su menor precio. Los míos ya tienen 2 años y rodando.
Si también he tenido buenas experiencias con los cauchos chinos estos duraron año y medio pero pudieron durar más, si no fuera por como me dejaron el tren delantero los mecánicos.
