Today again here dear @hive-motors community, this time joining the contest, Mechanical Tools - Contest n. 2, when I saw it, I did not hesitate to participate since mechanics is my strength, and it is my main job, without further ado here are my tools for daily use in mechanics in the workshop and at home.
Within the world of mechanics there are many tools that we will need, but it is also true that these tools will depend on the function that we are going to perform in our work.
These are some of the tools that are found in my work and in my house, I will go on naming them and explaining their functionalities and their use.
Let us begin:
The main tools that I use almost always in all jobs are the keys. (whether fixed, Allen, open pipe, articulated glasses or English). She usually come in kits.
Wrenches - I use them to tighten or loosen car nuts, bolts, and bolts. There are keys of various shapes and sizes which indicate a number that means the length of the corresponding nut in millimeters. The ones I use the most are 11/16 and 9/16.
Open-end, flat two-jaw wrenches: I use these for hex or square head bolts and nuts. Each spanner has only two nut tightening sizes, one at each end.
We also found the socket wrench that I use to loosen hex nuts and hold parts that are inaccessible to other wrenches.
Allen keys: I use them for screws with internal hexagonal head.
We also have the cross wrench that I use to loosen the lug nuts on the car wheels.
Another common element that I cannot miss in the workshop or at home are screwdrivers. There are different sizes and lengths. I use screwdrivers to drive or unscrew screws that require little tightening force and are generally small in diameter. There are four different screw head types: round head, countersunk head, star head, torx head. To tighten these types of screws, a different screwdriver is used for each of the shape of the tightening slot.
Other essential tools for me every day are the pliers and the hammer. Among the pliers you can find a great variety, which include universal, cutting, pressure, flat head, and round head pliers, there are also clamps, terminals, for spark plugs, for heaters, cutting, and or I use a lot, since they help me to hold, bend or cut.
The Hammer: I use it to strike and thereby transmit a force to another element or tool. I also use it to modify material shapes.
I also use the pliers, to loosen the clips. We also found the dice and extensions that I use to loosen nuts and bolts. The dice have different measurements like 9/16, 5/8, 11/16. There's also the palanquin, which is where I insert the dice to use force to loosen the nuts.
The kickstand, I use it to tighten the Straps, or to make force to hold any part of the car engine.
There is the mechanical puller, which is a tool that I basically use to extract the pulleys, gears or bearings from the shafts, when they are very tight and do not come out with the force of my hands. If the puller is adjusted incorrectly, it can break the pulley.
And to finish there is the hydraulic jack. This tool is essential as it allows me to lift vehicles for routine maintenance or other repairs. Although with the hydraulic jack you have to do a little manual work, most of the force is carried out by the tool, since its hydraulic properties allow lifting a lot of weight.
The positioning of the jack is very important: it cannot rest on any part of the bodywork because it could be damaged.
Finally, it should be remembered that the use of workshop tools also requires special precautions that we must take into account as part of our safety plan.

Hoy nuevamente aquí querida comunidad de @hive-motors, esta vez uniéndome al concurso, Herramientas mecánicas - Concurso n. 2, cuando lo vi, no dudé en participar ya que la mecánica es mi fuerte, y es mi trabajo principal, sin más preámbulos aquí están mis herramientas para uso diario en mecánica en el taller y en casa.
Dentro del mundo de la mecánica son muchas las herramientas que necesitaremos, pero también es cierto que estas herramientas dependerán de la función que vayamos a realizar en nuestro trabajo.
Estas son algunas de las herramientas que se encuentran en mi trabajo y en mi casa, las ire nombrándo y explicando sus funcionalidades y su uso.
Empecemos:
Las principales herramientas que utilizo casi siempre en todos los trabajos son las llaves. (ya sean fijas, Allen, de pipa abiertas, de vasos articulados o inglesas). Ella suelen venir en kits.
las llaves: las utilizo para apretar o aflojar tuercas, tornillos y pernos del automóvil. Existen llaves de diversas formas y tamaños las cuales indican un número que significa la longitud de la tuerca correspondiente en milímetros. las que yo más utilizo son la 11/16 y 9/16.
Llaves fijas, plana de dos bocas: las uso para tornillos y tuercas de cabeza hexagonal o cuadrada. Cada llave fija tienen solo dos tamaños de apriete de tuercas, uno en cada extremos.
También encontramos la llave de tubo que utilizo para Aflojar tuercas hexagonales y sujetar piezas que son inaccesibles para otras llaves.
Llaves Allen: las utilizo para tornillos con cabeza hexagonal interior.
También tenemos la llave en cruz que utilizo para aflojar las tuercas de las ruedas del coche.
Otro elemento común que no me puede faltar en el taller o en casa son los destornilladores. Hay distintos tamaños y longitudes. Los destornilladores los utilizo para atornillar o desatornillar tornillos que requieren poca fuerza de apriete y que generalmente son de diámetro pequeño. Hay cuatro tipos de cabeza de tornillos diferentes: cabeza redonda, cabeza avellanada, cabeza de estrella, cabeza torx. Para apretar estos tipos de tornillos se utilizan un destornillador diferente para cada una de la forma que tenga la ranura de apriete.
Otras herramientas indispensables para mí día a día son el alicate y el martillo. Entre los alicates se puede encontrar una gran variedad los que cabe destacar universales, de corte, de presión, de cabeza plana, y de cabeza redonda, también los hay de abrazaderas, de terminales, para bujías, para calentadores, de corte, yo los utilizo mucho, ya que me sirven para sujetar, doblar o cortar.
El Martillo: lo uso para golpear y con ello transmitir una fuerza a otro elemento o herramienta. También lo utilizo para modificar formas de materiales.
También utilizo la piensa para aflojar los clip. Nos encontramos también los dados y las extensiones que utilizo para aflojar tuercas y tornillos, Los dados tienen medidas diferentes como 9/16, 5/8, 11/16. También está el palanquin que es donde introdusco los dados para hacer fuerza para aflojar las tuercas.
La pata de cabra la utilizo para tensar correas, o para hacer fuerza para sujetar cuálquier pieza del motor de automóvil.
Está el extractor mecánico, que es una herramienta que utilizo básicamente para extraer las poleas, engranajes o cojinetes de los ejes, cuando están muy apretados y no salen con la fuerza de mis manos. Si el extractor se ajusta incorrectamente, puede romper la polea.
Y para terminar está el gato hidráulico. Esta herramienta es esencial ya que me permite levantar vehículos para mantenimiento de rutina u otras reparaciones. Aunque con el gato hidráulico hay que hacer un poco de trabajo manual, la mayor parte de la fuerza la realiza la herramienta, ya que sus propiedades hidráulicas permiten levantar mucho peso.
El posicionamiento del gato es muy importante: no puede apoyarse en ninguna parte de la carrocería porque podría dañarse.
Por último, conviene recordar que el uso de herramientas de taller también requiere unas precauciones especiales que debemos tener en cuenta como parte de nuestro plan de seguridad
