None of the three of us remember how this little rock came to our home. We only know that it has been sleeping in this corner of one of Oli's drawers for years.
We don't remember where or when it came from. But obviously, it had and has some value. Despite so many cleanings and pickups that have put many things in the trash, she is still there, immovable...with a purpose.
Yesterday was difficult, it showed us the ugly face of reality. The one that depends on so much bureaucracy and stigmas, that removes the foundations of our own life.
It left me with a frustration, that I even doubted myself, everything I have done until today to get to where I am and everything I could have done. I questioned everything.
Reality vs. longings, dreams, desires...all on the floor. There is nothing left but to keep trying, to get up and do it again, to rethink the strategy, to try other solutions, but never...to give up.
And to channel all that came at the right time @mipiano with this ingenious community. And so, the purpose of my stone became clear. I will use it to let go of all that negative thinking and transform it into something nice.
I chose a naive, almost childish "floral" design. 😉
The first thing will be to give a black base to the whole surface of the rock with acrylic paint. Then I will draw my design with white colored pencil.
Using white acrylic paint and a fine brush I will color the petals of my flowers. It is necessary to be patient and to paint and let it dry so as not to spoil what has been done.
Once painted, I will make the centers in yellow. Finally I will apply a coat of varnish to protect the design and it will be ready.
It has been more difficult than I imagined. First rock that I paint, its rough surface made it a little complicated.
