Hey guys! I'm back today with another update on Crypto Raiders! Since we left off the last time, there has been a few new updates, mainly the Endless Dungeon, a new Quest as well as a stat revamp!
Endless Dungeon
As its name suggests, Endless Dungeon has an unlimited amount of floors, and you progress further by defeating the monster on each floor.
The Endless Dungeon is still in beta, so there is no rewards from it yet, but there are no key requirements for now so its fun to just enter and see how far you can go! For the Clout and Glory!!
Once its ready though, players can earn rewards from the endless dungeon, not just through climbing the floors, but also through the monsters themselves, or Mobs.
You see, there was a Mob airdrop last year for eligible players in September or so. These mobs represent a type of monster that can be encountered in the dungeons. If your mob manages to defeat a raider, you will be able to gain $AURUM and a portion of their items. Of course, a higher rarity Mob will also be stronger, and can take down more Raiders than a low rarity one.
Currently, the floor price of Mobs on Openseas is 0.18 ETH, or around $427 USD. And thats only for a fodder mob, the lowest rarity.
The rarity system, from low to high, is as follows: Fodder, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic.
The art for the mobs do look pretty good, shame that I wasn't here when the airdrop happened but it is what it is, we still early overall xD

I ran a few Endless Dungeon runs, and my first run I managed to reach floor 9, which was a high score for me. I didn't encounter any strong mobs for this run, the highest rarity mob was only uncommon.
My luck didn't last long though, soon after I met a legendary mob and a mythic mob on my runs, which ended them prematurely D:
On the bright side, they look hella cool, just look at this legendary glowing dragon:
The mythic Necromancer guy is not only dope, but insanely strong as well. I went in with almost full health on both mobs, but was only able to take out a quarter of the Necromancer's health before I died. Its owner is definitely raking in the monies after Endless Dungeon rewards go live 👍
Of course, its price is also sky high, the lowest priced one in opensea costs a whopping 15 ETH
Recruitment
In other unrelated news, I finally recuited a new Raider!
It took me a long time, but I finally did it. Heres the story: I had bridged some AURUM from my metamask into the game a few weeks back in anticipation of the recruitment event, but I later found out that recruitment can only happen with AURUM on chain (ie. not bridged into the game). There was currently no bridge from the game back into the chain, so I had to contact support. I was told they were building a bridge back, but it was going to take some time. I was ok with waiting for a while, so I didn't do anything for the first week or so. Then the whole of the crypto market experienced a bear run, which also affected AURUM such that AURUM prices were lower than when I had purchased AURUM a few weeks ago for recruitment. So I decided to buy some more AURUM because low prices, but also because it allowed me to finally recruit :P
It cost me 2500 AURUM (~76 USD at time of writing), but I think its worth it :) I still haven't decided on a name for him yet, so feel free to suggest names!
After finishing his 5 weekly dungeon runs on 'Glimmer of Hope' quests, I sent him out questing for Grimweed. My plan is to develop him as a Quester, and his main job is to quest. If I can make it I'll let him return home every week to finish his quests.
Meanwhile, I will keep my main Raider, the level 7, with me, and join some Duel Tournaments in the Crypto Raiders Discord when I'm free. I'll use him to run Endless Dungeons as well, just to do some practice. I'll also use him to test out some new builds.
Stat Revamps/Changes
There have been reworks to how the stat points affect the characters; in the past only the highest one of the 3 main stats (Str, Dex and Int) will be used to determine things like attack strength, Accuracy and Crit Rate, while the other 2 will have a x0 multiplier. Now, all stat points in the 3 main stats will contribute to the character's stats, but in diminishing rates. The stat with the highest points in it will receive the highest multiplier, followed my the second, and then the third. This allows for more diverse builds to be made, instead of the previous meta of putting all stat points into one singular main stat.
Personally, my raider was a full Int build, but now I'm trying out a build with some Dex invested, to increase its Crit Rate and add some Dodge rate to him. So far, its been decently successful, I'm avoiding hits and getting Critical hits more than before. I don't actually know alot about stat builds and all that, so I'm probably going to consult the experts in the Discord channel in the future to find a build that suits my character.
