Welcome to the second day of our Weekly Journey, and today was a very good and productive day playing Skyweaver.
I Ranked up to Scholar, and that comes with a huge boost of experience and some base cards too.
You can see that every rank I grind from here on will give me more experience than the ones before, and I'll try to keep my pace on Ranking up, but things will probably get harder soon.
Without further ado, let's go to the stats and the gameplay of the day!
Day 2
In this second day of playing I have reached LVL 39, Rank: Scholar, and 69/510 Base Cards Unlocked. This means that around 13% of our goal is completed and there's still a lot of ground to cover in the next days.
Our performance was pretty great today, and I changed the attribute from Agility to Strength/Agility, which I found much more powerful after playing some matches with it.
Let's dive into the last game of the night today, and enjoy a little bit of Skyweaver.
Match
The mulligan was very bad, with only bad spells and 1 mana monsters, but I had a Gift of Swords which draws me three cards and give them +1/+1 and also gives +1/+1 to every monster I have summoned.
So I tried to make the best out of the only good card I had there.
The board was pretty weak the first rounds, for both of us and pretty much nothing happened.
I got some good board control first, and with a Banner monster, that gives my hero +1 power I could control things better than my opponent in the next rounds.
He cleared my board just before I got to 6 mana to use my Gift of Swords, so I had to wait a little bit and build some board again.
After using the Gift of Swords, the game got complicated for him, and I had a decent board (not really that strong) and a good amount of cards in hand to play still.
Once I summoned my Queen of Jacks I knew the game was over. This card is most probably my favorite so far, and it is a 3/6 creature that every your opponent summons a monster, it summons a 2/1 monster that attacks your opponent with Wither. Monsters with Wither don't do only damage, but they take power away too.
So for instance, if he summons a 5/3 monster, and my 2/1 monster with wither attacks it, his monster will be 3/1 after the attack. Losing 2 power and 2 HP.
The amount of value Queen of Jacks provided was too much, and my board just got stronger too fast for him.
I hope that you guys are enjoying this little diary, and I'm completely open to suggestions on how to improve this format of blog. Hoping you had a great day and till the next one!
