lost relics halloween event is almost here... are you ready?

in 1UP3 years ago

The Easter event for Lost Relics was the game's most active time ever, with more than 2000 concurrent active players at the peak.

Soon the Halloween event will begin. Again there is going to be a ton of activity and many players online all seeking new and valuable blockchain items (NFTs).

An Opportunity to Get Ahead in Play2earn

I think Lost Relics holiday events are one of the best opportunities to get started in play2earn gaming.

With so many people excited to play the game at one time, and an active Twitch category with live streamers and people hanging out, these holiday events are a great way to get to know people. At the same time, you have the opportunity to grind levels and gather both virtual gold and, even better, shadowstones (which can be turned into ENJ tokens).

How Holiday Events Work in LR

Here's how holiday events usually work in Lost Relics.

There are new blockchain items added to the game. In order to get these items, you have to obtain rare prize tickets from loot chests. The loot chests are obtained as drops in dungeons.

Therefore most players will spend the holiday event running as many dungeons as possible, then either selling or opening the loot boxes.

One big difference from last event is that now resource nodes (mining, woodcutting, etc) have rarities. If you want to be able to run a level where you are able to harvest the nodes, you will need to get your skill levels up. It's pretty important to at least have level 10+ skills if you want to be able to do efficient runs during the event.

Membership Pendants

Something to consider is getting a membership pendant. Membership pendants allow you to access a lot of extra features.

The most important thing about a pendant during the event is you can send items to your bank without running back to the tavern. It's a huge time save and greatly increases efficiency of grinding. This is extra important when picking up tons of loot boxes and not wanting to run back and forth in-between each dungeon run.

Membership pendants are a must for anybody who wants to grind a lot during the event IMO. But, what if you can't afford it?

If you can't afford a membership pendant by spending real money, you can buy them with in-game gold instead. It's most viable during these holiday events.

The strategy is to sell all of your loot boxes until you can afford at least a 7-day pendant. Even better is a 30-day pendant for more value. After that, start opening loot boxes to look for the rare prize tickets.

My Strategy

Personally I will be going with a 50/50 strategy. I am going to sell half of my loot boxes for gold. The other half I will open. If all goes well, I'll be able to both save up gold AND get at least one of the rare tickets for a rare blockchain item.

I'm not sure how many hours I will grind during the holiday event. My plan is to spend at least three hours per day grinding. Beyond that, I'll only do more if I feel like it is a fun/worthwhile idea in the moment. I am open to some longer hours of play2earn grinding but I do not want to force it.

What's your plan? Are you going to grind Lost Relics for the upcoming Halloween event?
