Seems that play-to-earn and NFT hype is attracting more and more game companies and sincerely we can observe a huge boom of games utilizing NFTs and play to earn mechanics.
Not only completely new titles are being released, but also the "dead" ones are now subject to "resurrect". Such an example is Dark Eden - horror MMORPG which was already silently closed for several months. This game, with pretty old school graphics and interface, similar to the Diablo series, will now receive second life in 2022, due to cooperation between Softon Entertainment (developer of Dark Eden) and WeMade Entertainment, developer of MIR4 and Wemix Network.
Dark Eden will receive NFT elements and with help of WeMade, it will be transformed into a Play To Earn game, with the Wemix Network as a core for NFT game assets. The launch is planned for the first half of 2022.
The game itself is utilizing well-known PVP scenarios of a fight between races. You can choose one of three races: Vampires, Outers, or Slayers and attend various war scenarios between them. The game genre is a combination of horror, fantasy, and SF backgrounds, making it pretty niche and interesting, especially in combination with an isometric view and old-fashioned interface.
I will personally put this title into my watch list and definitely would try it after the "resurrection".
