I think a little privacy for a little monetization is a fair trade off. Definitely not something everyone is willing to do, which is why "anyone" can do it.
Still though, you need an audience, and not everyone can build one.

Idk if not everyone can opposed to not everyone will try to. If you looked at my progress in the first two years, you'd say I didn't do much, but my progress in the last year would say otherwise. Depends how long you stick to it
