Pixel art: Practice target

PRACTICE TARGET

A pixel art animation of Practice Target. This is usually used for shooting practice. Mostly these things are made of paper or cardboard. Then there will be several markings or guides to know how good your shot is. I can say that this type of practice target is a level up version. Since the target is moving, you have to anticipate your shot. Unlike the stationary ones, you just have to point it directly.

Here is a little behind the scene of my pixel art animation.

Creating the main base of the animation. This looks like a cinematic effect for movies though. The legendary black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. But for this one it will be the holder of the practice target.

Outline of the main target. I used two shapes for this one. A circle for the head and then oval for the body. But for the body part, I made a little bit of modification since it is a target practice. The base of it needs to be flat.

This is the modification part. I used lines here to create the flat base. After that, I removed the excess lines from the oval then filled the whole part with black color.

Here is the result. I thought of leaving it as it is and proceed to animating it. But I tried to add other details to complete it. Because it will not look like a practice target without the guide lines.

If I animated it without the lines, the animation will look like a person moving back and forth. So to remove the confusion, I added the lines.

Here is the animation part, you can see the several frames below. It is just a minimal animation, but it consumed a lot of frames since the main object needs to move back and forth.
