Years later, they are nowhere in my life and have been nothing but bitter towards me, so, I was right.
I believe that one who is very attentive would easily differentiate a friend from an acquaintance, just like yourself.
Many people can't still accept the idea that they are just acquaintances and as such, they get so bitter towards you. whether they like it or not, they'd still know their place in the end.
