I prefer to take a more positive view, that after the rain comes sunshine, always positive, in a world that has lost its way more now than ever it is important to enjoy the little things in life, enjoy your micro world and forget the big picture.
And I agree with you. I never liked the saying. I don't understand, why anyone have to spend time in fear and anxiety that this good time will pass and soon darkness will take over.
My grandma said, as they have seen draught and famine, so this might reshaped their perspective.
