"Music and Walks: My Personal Path to Inner Peace"

HELLO HIVE

In a world that moves so fast and is filled with so much noise, finding inner peace has become more than a desire that we have into something that we dearly need, peace doesn't come from having a perfect day or a quiet day but it comes from simple intentional habits that help me reconnect with myself. Over the I found two things that lead me to a calm place, music and taking a walk through the busy area, these two things aren't just not hobbies but they are healing rituals that calm the mind taking it through the place of the storm into the quiet parts of the calm night sea that are found in the most simplest places.

The healing power of music

There is something so contagious about music that even people with strange energies fall for it; it has a way of healing people in a way that no other psychologist can do; it flows from place to place, connecting people of different backgrounds and tastes.

It is not just any sound but a special place where I can breathe and reflect on a lot of things and sometimes it gets to the point of tears 😔, not a lot of things can trigger things but music can without a doubt it sinks so deep into our souls to the level where we can hardly control what we are feeling and that's why we are easily influenced by the kinds of music we listen to because this healing sounds just have a way of pressing certain bottoms that we can't reach ourselves.

Different moments in life call for different tunes; sometimes, it is soft instrumentals that calm the soul, and other times, it is gentle worship songs that pierce the soul. One of these songs is Amazing Grace, but someone has a baritone voice without much instrumentation, just the music 🎹 keyboard.

Some days, when everything seems heavy, all I want to do is sleep on my bed, put on the music, and let the music do the work.

The simplicity of the walk

Taking a walk doesn't just happen for me. It only happens when there's a lot on my mind. There is this magic in it that no matter how stressed or overwhelmed I am, the walk always does its thing.

Sometimes I would walk a long distance without even noticing I had walked that long because my mind was still heavy and I only stopped when I felt this sense of relief my legs hurt so much after such work but it is always worth it because it just has a way of taking my mind away from whatever is bothering me towards directions I never thought about.

I often take walks when I need to think, pray, or just disconnect from noise. I don’t need a destination; the walk itself is enough.

As powerful as each of these two is joining them together becomes a personal retreat.

In the end, peace isn't a place I arrive at but something I choose to return to.
