Death, why? Just took away our brother

what a wicked world! death why? See how death left only tears, grief, sorrow and agony in our lives. We lost him all of a sudden. He's too tender to leave us. His parents are alive to mourn him. Is that the right way? Are children not suppose to bury their parents? Hmmm, people are wicked.

In this our part of the world, it's the right thing for children to bury their parents. Therefore, any child that died irrespective of his or her age before the parents is something detestable. Infact, it's referred to as untimely death. But, the death of Mr Justice Osondu is quite different. He was butchered. How? Follow along as I bring full details of his death.

Mr Justice Osondu is a native of Ihitu-Uboma local government area(LGA) of imo state. He's the 4th child of the family and the second son as well. Mr Justice when alive, was a hardworking young man in his early 30s. As a young guy, he made it a priority not to marry without establishing a suitable home for his wife and family. With such perspective, he made it a goal to build a house before marriage. He started fulfilling his goal and mission by molding blocks and later laid foundation, first of all for the fence. But, one faithful day, something transpired in between him and his kinsmen.

According to report from the family, the guy went to his site, and one of his kinsmen approached him with anguish because he was passing through their land to the site. The man gave him a sound dirty slap and as a young man, he was unable to withstand his anger by retaliating. Immediately, his fellow young men retaliated on behalf of the man and they fought and outnumbered him. They butchered him with matchet. Thirteen days later, he died. Leaving both the land, his building, family and friends.

(a shot from his biography)

They (the family) took the case to court. Finally, they won. According to court ruling or order, the killers catered for the burial. But in all, the guy is no more. Alright, on Saturday, the 2nd day of April 2023, the deceased was laid to rest. But, to prepare some certain things, I and his immediate elder sister travelled all the way from Aba to their village in imo state. That night, we prepared vegetable soup, cook meat and stew. Before we could finish, it was around 1:30 am. Then, by 5:30am, we rose up to prepare food for the burial proper.

By 1:00pm, the burial discourse started. The speaker used the scriptures to comfort the bereaved since they have the hope of seeing their dead loved one again. By 2:00pm, we took the deceased to his burial ground. Do you know where he was buried? Hmmm, that's the most annoying part to me. They buried the guy in that his about to develop site. Imagine! He didn't finish up the building, now, his dead body is now buried in his small piece of land. Anyway, after resurrection, he gonna finish it up.

Dear friends, do you guys know that none of his kinsmen and women, children, adult and fellow youths attended the burial. Too bad. Above all, my sympathy goes to his elder sister who cried like a baby and to his parents tho, God have comforted them prior to that very day.

.... Lesson.....

The death of Mr Justice Osondu caused me to shade tears 😭. Though, he's dead, his past action leading to his death should serve as a warning to all of us. Let us always apply discernment. Flee from trouble. Don't retaliate just to show how powerful you are. Why? you can't tell people's already plan awaiting execution towards you. People are wicked.

Let's do our best to avoid hard-hearted individuals.

What a race we are running in this life. It's so sad of how people still think and function in this 21st century. This is unacceptable. Civilization has brought so much all over the World. The need to embrace it is left in our thinking.

My dear sister, they didn't care to take away their fellow man's life. It saddened our heart

Death is very painful, especially losing such a 30yrs old person. You are very correct when you pointed out whether it's not the duty of the young ones to bury the old. For me, I have nothing to say but to live everything to God.

That's true. God is the best judge and his judgement is final. Let's patiently wait for him

That is a very wise phrase that we draw from your conclusion. Being shrewd and prudent is something we do well to cultivate. It helps us greatly if we think about the consequences our actions have on others, especially those we love.💕

We are very sorry for the loss of this young human being. We also harbor the hope you mention.🌟

Hugs @marajah 🙏

Ohh, am glad we share same hope. Soon, we will welcome him back to life. As for those that took away his life, let God judge them

Those kinsmen already had the young man in their heart. Because it's not normal to walk up and slap someone for no tangible reason.

I'm sure you must have cried a lot, I'm so sorry about your loss dear

Ohh, I cried so bitterly. I really felt their pains. It hurts.

As for those kinsmen, their reward is at hand

I hope you're better now dear Marajah

This story is so touching, now I see why God's word say that a slave of God should not fight, and why Jesus warned us not to retaliate no matter what, tho sometimes it is not easy but in all it saves us from trouble and death like that of our brother Justice, well Resurrection hope is assured.

Gos and Jesus can't lie for us. They know the best for us. If we should follow their instructions, we will live long.
