Emotions

This year, I was the mountain in the storm.
Struck by lightning, torn by winds,
drenched in rain that knew no mercy.

The trees on my slopes fell,
my paths disappeared beneath landslides of sorrow.
No one came,
no voice answered but the thunder within me.

But like a mountain,
I did not crumble.
I stood silent, bearing it all,
letting the storm pass without breaking my soul.

My roots ran deep—
deeper than I ever knew.
And when the sun finally cut through the fog,
I stood still.
Stronger, firmer, more certain
of what it means to survive.

This year,
I met the version of me torn by the wind—
but also the one
who will stand tall
until the seasons change.

This is so beautifully written. I love the imagery and strength behind your words. It's a reminder that even in the worst storms, we can find out just how strong and unshakeable we really are.
Truly inspiring
