The "Boar Hog" method

There is a blind spot, that we all have.
It might be a weakness, a seeming flaw we’d like to hide
Or it might be that secret yearning for something
Forbidden.
There is an itch, you just can’t reach
To scratch, and for most,
It is maddening.
What to do?
How to resolve these
Dilemmas?
Pretty much, methinks
Acceptance is the only way to go.

You are what you are, and you should accept that.
This is not to say that you shouldn’t try to
Improve yourself, to ‘grow’ as a person.
Au contraire mon frère.
Improvement is a goal
For each and every human being.
Is this a dichotomy? A contradiction?

I don’t think so.
Growth does not
Exclude acceptance of the status quo.
The tree accepts the soil it is growing in,
Doesn’t it?
It doesn’t try to improve the
Soil, it just grows.

And that itch?
Use the tree.
It is called the

“‘boar hog’ method”
