@Qurator's proposal this week is COOKIES !!! Those that we like big and small and of course we all have a recipe that is our favorite. Today I present you a simple and rich vanilla cookie with a different touch, colored sugar ideal to get a smile out of children.
Making cookies at home is fun, although sometimes it becomes chaotic because my two daughters want to help, and the truth is that they don't help at all. 🤭 This is one of my most basic recipes, and we are only going to need these ingredients:
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 spoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda Colored sugar (for them, place a tablespoon or more of sugar in a container with a lid and pour two drops of liquid food coloring, beat for a few minutes and your sugar will be colored)
And we start with the preparation:
- In a bolw place the butter and sugar, mix until incorporated and become creamy.
- Add the vanilla and egg.
- Mix with a balloon whisk.
.4. Add the sifted flour.
.5. You must knead with your hands so that its consistency is perfect.
.6. When it no longer sticks to your hands or the bolw, it is ready to refrigerate for 1 hour.
.7. After that time has elapsed, stretch with a rolling pin.
.8. With a round mold or in any shape, take out your cookies.
.9. Put them on a tray with a little butter and they are ready to bake.
After 20 minutes your cookies are ready! You should only decorate with the sugar on top.
You can use all the colors you want, they will look beautiful and the children will love them.
