Dusty — Polvoriento (En/Es)

When I read that this week theme of the Qurator’s Photo Quest was dust, I thought about what kind of photos to share here. After some time I decided for the images that you see. They were taken while I was cleaning a vacuum cleaner. You see the central filter of the machine, that absolves all the dust. I am aware that some people could find these images a bit disgusting, however I tried to find and interesting composition (in spite of the dust and dirt) with the lines.

This is what I like about these contests, they make you think about the photos that reflect the theme and search images that fit into the theme.

Cuando leí que el tema del Qurator’s Photo Quest de esta semana era polvo, estuve reflexionando sobre qué fotos enviar. Luego de pensar un poco, me decidí por estas imágenes, que son de cuando estuve limpiando una aspiradora. Como pueden observar se trata de la pieza central del filtro que absorbe el polvo y la suciedad. Debo admitir que algunas personas pueden encontrar estas fotografías un poco molestas, sin embargo busqué una composición interesante usando las lineas presentes a pesar de la suciedad del objeto fotografiado.

Esto es lo que me gusta de estos concursos, que hacen pensar sobre el tema y buscar imágenes que se ajusten a este.

The photos were taken with the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra All the processing and editing was done in Gimp. I also show the images in black and white.

Las imágenes fueron tomadas con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, toda la edición se realizó en Gimp. Junto con las imágenes en color las muestro también en blanco y negro.
