In this photos I am trying to illustrate the concept of opposites, in particular two dual pair of concepts: “light and darkness” and “fullness and emptiness”.
You might wonder what is the photographed object. It is a block of marble taken from the quarry, some holes have been drilled in the rock. You can see the marks of the drilling machine. The photos were taken with the right (natural) light conditions that give a nice visual effect so that the resulting images expressed the concepts that I mentioned above. The black and white ( #blackandwhite) format enhances the images , in particular its abstract nature, and is the more suitable for illustrating these ideas.
I used the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S20 and edited the images in Gimp.
Con estas fotografías trato de ilustrar el concepto de opuestos, en especial dos pares de ideas duales: “luz y oscuridad” y “lleno y vacío”.
Ustedes seguro se estiran preguntando que es el objeto de la foto. Resulta ser que es un bloque de mármol sacado de la cantera en el que unos agujeros han sido taladrados. Pueden observar unas marcas que dejó la maquina de taladrado. La iluminación (natural) es tal que crea un interesante efecto, del cual me he servido para ilustrar los conceptos antes mencionados. El formato blanco y negro sirve para enfatizarlos e incrementar el carácter abstracto de las imágenes.
Utilicé la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S20 y edité las imágenes en Gimp.
