My entry to the Qurator’s Photo Quest | Repetition — Self-similarity

This is my entry in the Qurator’s Photo Quest of this week, the topic is REPETITION. The rules of the contest can be read here.

The notion of repetition of a pattern at different scales forms the basic idea of self-similarity, a concept fundamental in the world of fractals. Usually I search for this patterns when I take photos.

The photo that I show corresponds to the celling of the palm house at Kew Gardens (London). I flipped the image in order to create a more dramatic effect. The camera that I used was a Sony DSC-F717.

I am the author of the photograph.
