Hello everyone! It is another wonderful week and @qurator is hosting a Photo Quest. The theme for this week is 'Books'. I thought of joining the contest and this post is my submission for this week.
I love books and I have a large collection of books at home. The first furniture I have bought when I started working is a large bookshelf. I managed to fill it with all my books and had some space left for the future.
A few months ago, a famous bookstore called Book Xcess decided to close down one of their branches and did a giveaway. Free books for everyone and each person could take ten so my family and I went too. We got 30 books in total and I needed to create more space in my bookshelf to accommodate the new books.

These are some of my old books which I have mostly done reading. The book giveaway was totally unexpected. I did a spring cleaning right before the giveaway where I have wiped and rearranged my entire bookshelf. That's why it looks shiny and the colourful books can be seen reflected on the bookshelf surface.

Here are more pictures I took before arranging it. This is my bookshelf that is full of books and a few other things. I also had an entire row of encyclopedia that I got from a relative and I read them sometimes as they got many interesting information with pictures. I also had a few children's encyclopedia too that had comforting colourful illustrations. Now I have to clear a row if I want to display my new books in the bookshelf. It was a dilemma.

So I cleared the entire row and took all the books out. My room is small so I just put them on my bed temporarily. Then, I also cleared the row of the encyclopedia so I can figure out a way to put them elsewhere. That's when I got the idea of 'scattering' all over the bookshelf. So I divided them into 5 groups and arranged them vertically at the back of the bookshelf. I put 6 encyclopedias in each section.

Then I arranged my other books which are mostly novels and some divine scriptures in front of the encyclopedias. It was not easy because each encyclopedia was heavy and initially kept falling with a loud thud while I struggled to hold them as I arranged the novels. Good thing my bookshelf is wooded I got from a traditional furniture store and it could hold many books without falling apart. Oops 'knock on wood' because I don't want to jinx it.

I finished arranging everything. It looked similar to how it was before this new arrangement except the books are moved forward slightly. I had to change the placements of some smaller items and decorations I used to place in the free space in front of the books. I switched things around and made it work. Now that I'm done, this means I have to repeat this 4 more times because I still had the rest of the encyclopedias laying on the bed waiting to be arranged. I finally finished arranging everything and let out a breath of relief after the exhausting day. The result at the end was worth it.

This is just one of the books I was reading some time ago. I hope my trick could be useful to someone. It is basically arranging the books you may not read much or prefer not to display, at the back of the other books. Thanks to @qurator for hosting this contest and I wish everyone participating all the best. Thank you for dropping by and have a great day ahead.
There was everything in that library, hehe, order definitely makes everything look nicer. Best regards
Hehe yes. A little messy in this picture though. I even have journaling and art sections now as I have them organized better. Thank you for the comment and my best regards to you too!
