The Beehiveу Cluster is an open star cluster located in the constellation Cancer, about 600 lightyears from Earth. The cluster is also known as M44.
The Beehive Cluster contains about 1,000 stars. One of the few star clusters known since antiquity. The Beehive Cluster is an open cluster in the constellation Cancer. Under dark skies the Beehive Cluster looks like a nebulous object to the unaided eye; thus it has been known since ancient times. M44 - The Beehive cluster, also knows as "The Manger"

Utah designated the Beehive Cluster as an official state symbol in 1996 (a beehive is the official emblem of the state)

What I love about the Beehive Cluster is that it reminds me of the interconnectedness of all things. We are all made of stardust, and looking at the Beehive Cluster reminds me of the grandeur of the Universe and our place within it.

How fitting for a Hive post :) We even made it into space 🙌
