Consumed | Optical Illusion Makeup

Hola amigos de Hive, hoy se me ha ocurrido hacer un maquillaje estilo ilusión óptica, o al menos lo intente ya que siento que le falto un poco mas pero fue realmente difícil y me llevo bastante tiempo llegar a ese resultado, muchas mezclas de tonos claros para lucir como una especie de vela derritiéndose, muchas confusiones con las sombras pero todo se puede con paciencia, asi que hoy les mostrare como hice este pequeña ilusión. He visto muchos maquillajes de ilusión óptica y realmente me gusta quisiera aprender mas y mejorar, es algo impresionante como podemos hacer de nuestro rostro algo tan surrealista, las velas siempre me han gustado para aplicarlas en el arte de hecho tengo algunos dibujos donde pinte velas pero hacerlo en el rostro ya es otro nivel, algo más complejo pero satisfactorio.

Hello friends of Hive, today it occurred to me to do an optical illusion style makeup, or at least I tried it since I feel that it lacks a little more but it was really difficult and it took me a long time to reach that result, many mixtures of light tones to look like a kind of melting candle, a lot of confusion with the shadows but everything can be done with patience, so today I will show you how I made this little illusion.
I have seen many optical illusion makeups and I really like, I would like to learn more and improve, it is something impressive how we can make our face so surreal, I have always liked candles to apply them in art in fact I have some drawings where I paint candles but Doing it on the face is already another level, something more complex but satisfying.

Proceso/Process

Antes de comenzar mi maquillaje estaba indecisa, no sabia si desaparecer toda la parte superior de mi rostro y convertirla en una vela o solo la mitad, mi frente es muy pequeña y tenia miedo de que al final la mecha de fuego de la vela no encajara jajaja, pero finalmente me atreví a hacerlo solo en parte de mi rostro, dejando así un ojo libre para aplicar un maquillaje sencillo pero bonito, usando tonos tierra y dorado, entonces aplique corrector en mi ojo izquierdo y dibuje la forma con un lápiz negro de donde estaría el tope de la vela, una forma irregular, empecé entonces a aplicar las sombras comenzando con un marrón oscuro y el siguiente seria un poco mas claro y rojizo, difumine para mezclar estas dos tonalidades.

Before starting my makeup I was undecided, I did not know whether to disappear the entire upper part of my face and turn it into a candle or only half, my forehead is very small and I was afraid that in the end the candle's fire wick would not fit hahaha, but finally I dared to do it only on part of my face, thus leaving one eye free to apply a simple but beautiful makeup, using earth tones and gold, then I applied concealer on my left eye and drew the shape with a black pencil of where the top of the candle would be, an irregular shape, I then began to apply the shadows starting with a dark brown and the next would be a little lighter and reddish, blur to mix these two tones.

Continue rellenando el centro de mi parpado con una sombra satinada de color dorado, me gusto mucho esta combinación, aplique el mismo efecto debajo de mi ojo. Luego moldee mi ceja izquierda, una vez listo todo aplique la base en la parte de mi rostro que estaría “normal” para luego comenzar a pintar la parte de la vela con un color crema que hice mezclando pinturas corporales, con blanco dibuje la forma de la cera de la vela cayendo en la orilla y aplique sombra en los bordes con sombra de ojos marrón.

Continue filling the center of my eyelid with a satin shade of gold color, I really liked this combination, apply the same effect under my eye.
Then mold my left eyebrow, once everything is ready, apply the base on the part of my face that would be "normal" and then begin to paint the part of the candle with a cream color that I made mixing body paints, with white draw the shape of the candle wax falling on the edge and shadow the edges with brown eyeshadow.

La parte más difícil fue dar textura dentro de la vela asi que empecé a jugar con marrones, blancos y negros hasta tener algún tipo de textura en esa parte, ahí tarde muchísimo no me sentía a gusto con el resultado pero era lo mejor que podía hacer, dibuje entonces la mecha de esta vela, use varios tonos de amarillo naranja y blanco, incluso al final aún seguía queriendo más luz así que después que termine todo aplique un poco de pigmento amarillo alrededor y un poco de azul en el centro, pero eso fue antes de tomar las fotos. Para dar un efecto un poco más realístico de la cera, decidí hacer gotas con silicón caliente las cuales luego me pegué en mi rostro, hice gotas grandes, largas, pequeñas e incluso puntos. Finalmente termine mi maquillaje aplicando un poco de contorno en la nariz, iluminador, labial y mascara de pestañas.

The most difficult part was to give texture inside the candle so I started playing with browns, whites and blacks until I had some kind of texture in that part, then it took a long time I did not feel comfortable with the result but it was the best I could do. , then I drew the wick of this candle, I used various shades of yellow, orange and white, even at the end I still wanted more light so after I finished everything I applied a little yellow pigment around it and a little blue in the center, but that's It was before taking the photos.
To give a more realistic effect of the wax, I decided to make drops with hot silicone which I then stuck on my face, making large, long, small drops and even dots.
Finally I finished my makeup by applying a little contour on the nose, highlighter, lipstick and mascara.

Final

Fue un reto para mi este maquillaje, pero no quedo tan mal realmente, espero que les haya gustado.
