Watch the video on Instagram and Tiktok

So I talked briefly in this post about how I was visualizing an idea in my head and it turned out differently so I had to change plans with it. I was able to save the look and I ended up loving it and became one of my favorite makeup looks.

Here, I will talk about the process in detail although you can also watch the video but it doesn't have an explanation. The process is quite long so bear with me. XD

I was thinking about green and red makeup. To be able to have a nice depth and not just a flat green, I usually add some dark greens as well and just blend them along with the lighter greens.

Here, I used the DRAMO Tea Dye palette and applied this shade of green on the inner corners under the brows.

Then I used this lighter green from Anthemy Serpent's Emerald Gaze palette and blended it both on the inner and outer corners of my eyes.

4.jpg

Then I used this shade of green and also blended it on the inner and outer corners of my eyes.

5.jpg

Then finally, the darker shade of green again on the inner and outer corners. I find this technique really good and it gives a lot of depth so the makeup blends well on the face and not just "sitting" on top of the skin you know? It's kinda like painting tbh that's why I like it. :D

6.jpg

Then I used this GIRLCULT eyeshadow palette in 52 Fire for the darker red and De Lanci Mars eyeshadow on top of it. This red is so vivid it's quite unbelievable lol.

7.jpg

I really wasn't planning on using a lot of eyeshadow palettes but since plans changed and I had to improve the look, I used this white shade from GIRLCULT eyeshadow palette in 59. I applied it on the center of my lids and under the brow. I also applied it on the inner corners of my eyes following the shape like a C, so it's kinda a contour highlight.

8.jpg

Then I used this shimmer from the Anthemy palette on the center and outer corner under the brow. I was choosing colors that would still be close to green so this one has a green to gold shift.

9.jpg

Then I used this light yellow shimmer inside the eye following the C shape. Yellow and green work well together especially on this one since the greens are warm.

10.jpg

I needed to find a shimmer that will work well on top of the vivid reds without making the reds too vivid again. My goal for this one is to make the reds less vivid by using a shimmer on top. The blending of the red was also not good, so the shimmers will help hide that haha.

I used Kaleidos Escape Pod palette on this one.

I went back to this palette again. I lightly swiped my brush so the white is not too white, it's just enough to give a bit of a highlight for an aegyosal.

12.jpg

Then I went back to this red again and applied it under the white for a shadow effect.

13.jpg

And again, this shimmer on the aegyosal. :D

14.jpg

Since it was a watermelon look, I just added the seeds using eyeliner haha. I usually like rain shape under the eyes so I knew it would look good. :P

Then I completed the look with eyebrow cara, red blush, red and green lipstick, and a yellow highlighter.

Here is the result.

Honestly I really like it and all those layers are worth it. They all worked well and I don't think anything was covered up or wasted. :D

Usually in makeup you gotta be careful of the products you apply cos you can't apply it too thick. Your face needs to move and it's on skin after all, so ideally you want as thin as possible. You can't just add more colors on top unlike a painting and sometimes you'd need to erase it. So I'm glad this all worked out in the end. :D

Super!!

You should explore Pinterest - makeup and looks might work there (especially seasonal but in advance). Install the Pinterest add-on for the browser and save your images to your Pinterest in one click:

If you don't know, the idea is that you save an image to your collections on Pinterest with attached links, Hive/IG/TT links, any. Potentially can find new subscribers there.

Also, some ideas and stats to use for your IG/TT, you can find there: https://trends.pinterest.com/

I know Pinterest, but I am mainly a consumer haha. I don't know how exactly things work though since I just scroll there and pin whatever's already there.. Not this way where I find something somewhere else and pin it.

I also created a Pinterest specifically for my makeup and uploaded a few though I just forgot about it at some point. Haha. Thanks for the reminder! It's a good idea to do that as well. :D

You know, @hiddenblade, every time I see your makeup posts, they are so original and beautiful. It's clear that this art form fascinates you. It reminds me of a friend from my hometown who moved to Mexico, who is a huge fan of these kinds of original makeup styles.

Let me send you a photo of hers. Greetings and have a lovely day! I always enjoy your posts! πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ»
