"El sueño de la razón produce monstruos". Esta pintura de Goya la vi por primera vez en el colegio, y la entendí mejor durante los semestres que estudié filosofía. Mi interpretación de esta obra es la siguiente: Debe existir un equilibrio entre la razón y el sentimiento. Si nos adormecemos en el mar de las emociones, si nos dejamos llevar por el fluir de las pasiones, y no pensamos desde la lógica y la razón, podemos encontrarnos con las sombras más oscuras.
"The dream of reason produces monsters". I first saw this painting by Goya in school, and understood it better during the semesters I studied philosophy. My interpretation of this work is as follows: There must be a balance between reason and emotion. If we fall asleep in the sea of feelings, if we let ourselves be carried away by the flow of passions, and we do not think from logic and reason, we can find ourselves with the darkest shadows.
Esta es otra de mis obras de arte favoritas, el autor es Francisco José de Goya y el título es "El sueño de la razón produce monstruos". Me inspiré en esta obra para realizar mi maquillaje de hoy, y para participar nuevamente en el reto de esta semana de @lucianav y @ambarvegas, el cual nos invita a realizar nuestro maquillaje imitando una obra de arte, o inspirándonos en ella.
This is another of my favorite works of art, the author is Francisco José de Goya and the title is "The Dream of Reason Produces Monsters". I was inspired by this work to make my makeup today, and to participate again in the challenge of this week of @lucianav and @ambarvegas, which invites us to make our makeup imitating a work of art, or being inspired by it.
Quise hacer este maquillaje bastante sencillo. Para comenzar, apliqué base y polvo en todo mi rostro. Coloqué sombra vinotinto y marrón desde la cuenta hasta debajo de la ceja, y una sombra beige satinada en el párpado móvil, difuminé bien estos colores y no hice más con mis ojos, solo maquillé mis cejas.
I wanted to make this make-up quite simple. To start, I applied foundation and powder all over my face. I applied red wine and brown shadow from the eye socket to below the eyebrow, and a satin beige shadow on the mobile eyelid. I blurred these colors well and did not do more with my eyes, only my eyebrows.
La parte más divertida es la siguiente. Copié en mi mejilla tal cual la frase que aparece en la obra de arte, y dibujé dos pequeños murciélagos sobre esta. Esto lo hice con delineador líquido negro y mucho pulso. Luego, hice una especie de delineado en mi ojo, utilizando lápiz marrón, lápiz blanco, lápiz negro y sombra marrón. Con estos productos hice la figura de ala de un búho, otro de los elementos que se ve en la obra de arte.
The funniest part is the following. I copied on my cheek just like the phrase that appears in the artwork, and I drew two little bats on it. I did this with black liquid eyeliner and a lot of pulse. Then, I made a kind of eyeliner in my eye, using brown pencil, white pencil, black pencil and brown shadow. With these products I made the wing figure of an owl, another of the elements seen in the artwork
Y listo, a continuación les dejo el maquillado que obtuve. Como ven , es muy sencillo de hacer, y lo que más me llevó tiempo fue escribir la frase. ¿Qué les parece? Es muy divertido recrear nuestras obras de arte favoritas, espero se animen a participar! Yo tal vez participe esta semana unas cuantas veces más, jajajaja.

Holaa! No sé qué me pasó que no subí está foto del proceso antes de hacer el ala en mi ojo :( igual saqué poquitas fotos porque me concentré mucho en el maquillaje y se me olvidó tomar las fotografías, intentaré tener más fotos del proceso en la próxima!!
