¿QUÉ ES PARA TI EL MAQUILLAJE?
Esta pregunta me la hicieron recientemente en una pequeña entrevista y la verdad me sorprendió mucho, porque no es la típica pregunta que normalmente me hacen cuando descubren que me gusta el maquillaje.
Las pocas veces que he tenido la oportunidad de responderla siempre digo lo mismo... El maquillaje para mi es una herramienta para mostrar todas mis facetas y expresar lo que siento sin necesidad de utilizar palabras.
Puedo ser sexy y atrevida con unos imponentes labios rojos, más recatada con un sutil look en tonos pasteles, mostrar mi extrovertida personalidad con un look colorido o solo resaltar mis facciones con un maquillaje natural... Todo esto sin perder la esencia de quien soy.
Además, me permite expresar si estoy triste, feliz, enojada, dar mi punto de vista sobre un tema o protestar ante una injusticia.
Ahora bien, también hay personas para quienes el maquillaje puede no significar nada, y está bien, que aburrido sería el mundo si a todos nos gustara lo mismo ¿cierto?
Pero es precisamente aquí donde está la clave de todo, la idea no es que a todos nos guste lo mismo, la idea es aprender a respetar lo que le gusta a cada quien.
A algunos les gusta cantar, bailar, a otros les gusta pintar, tejer, cocinar y hay quienes como a mí, les gusta el maquillaje.
Cada una de las cosas que mencione tiene su complejidad, y para quienes piensan que el maquillaje es cualquier cosa, hablemos un poco de lo que hay detrás de cada maquillaje.
Comencemos por el tiempo, aunque parezca absurdo para algunos, hacer un maquillaje puede durar entre una hora, tres, cinco y mucho más, dependiendo del tipo de maquillaje que se realice y los materiales que se usen.
Imagínense estar todo ese tiempo sentada, muchas veces sin poder tomar o comer algo porque podríamos estropear lo que estamos haciendo, te duele el cuello, te duele la espalda, te paras, te sientas, pero sigues adelante, porque a pesar de todo estás haciendo lo que te gusta y sabes que el resultado va a valer la pena.
Pero no es solo el tiempo que tardas en maquillarte, es el tiempo que inviertes en aprender, en conocer técnicas nuevas, lo que está en tendencia, además del dinero que inviertes para adquirir conocimientos, ya sea en clases de maquillaje online o presenciales.
Anteriormente mencioné los materiales, lo principal para cualquier maquillador independientemente del estilo de sus maquillajes. Esto implica obviamente un gasto económico, que es muy elevado por cierto, hablamos de comprar brochas, paletas de sombras, bases, correctores, labiales, glitter, piedras, un sin fin de cosas que nos permiten hacer realidad eso que imaginamos.
Ser maquilladora no es algo que hagamos por que sea algo fácil, es algo que hacemos por pasión, porque nos gusta, porque aunque a veces nos estresemos, batallemos para pegarnos las pestañas postizas, se nos meta el glitter en los ojos, estropeemos el difuminado de las sombras, gastemos toda la quincena en material, sabemos que el esfuerzo va a valer la pena.
Y precisamente, no hay nada mejor que conseguir un espacio donde tu esfuerzo sea valorado, apreciado y sentir que esas horas sentadas frente a una cámara valieron la pena, sentir que el material que usaste para hacer un maquillaje, fue un material invertido y no un material malgastado.
Por eso me gusta #Hive, porque es una plataforma que te permite convivir con un montón de personas de gustos diferentes, con un talento increíble, de las cuales se puede aprender mucho y que con sus comentarios y votos te motivan a seguir adelante.
Sin embargo, no es un secreto que en un sitio donde conviven tantas personas es difícil gustarle a todos, pero caemos en lo que mencioné al principio de este post, el punto no es que te guste todo, el punto es que respetes al otro y a su trabajo, un trabajo que tiene un esfuerzo por pequeño que parezca.
En #hive hay una gran cantidad de comunidades, de tecnología, de arte, de música, de maquillaje y cada una merece ser respetada. No te gusta un contenido, fácil, no ingreses a esa comunidad, pero no dañes el trabajo de alguien por gusto.
Se vale respetar el criterio de cada quien de votar o no una publicación o igual el derecho de todos los hivers a votar negativo en un contenido que no le parezca de valor, pero cuando ese derecho se extiende a todos los post de una misma comunidad a manera de spam o sabotaje, ya se considera un maltrato al trabajo de cada integrante de la comunidad.
En #hive hay una gran cantidad de comunidades, de tecnología, de arte, de música, de maquillaje y cada una merece ser respetada. No te gusta un contenido, fácil, no ingreses a esa comunidad, pero no dañes el trabajo de alguien por gusto.
Porque cada voto positivo te motiva a seguir trabajando y cada voto negativo, te motiva a continuar aprendiendo y mejorar, pero cuando ese voto negativo se vuelve reiterativo, es cuando comienzan las personas a desanimarse, a sentir que por más que se esfuercen nada va a ser suficiente, además de que ese voto negativo afecta el ámbito económico de las personas que hacen vida en #hive, sin contar con que hay muchos cuyo único ingreso es el que obtienen de esta plataforma.
Este post, no busca que las personas dejen de votar negativo, reiteró, todos los hivers tienen derecho a decir que voto dan a cada post. Lo que si busca este post, es que cada persona sea conciente del voto que da.
Cada voto negativo hecho con toda la mala intención y a manera de spam es un golpe que recibes hacia ti, hacia tu talento y hacia todos los integrantes de la comunidad.
WHAT IS MAKEUP FOR YOU?
I was asked this question recently in a short interview and I was really surprised, because it's not the typical question I'm usually asked when they find out that I like makeup.
The few times I have had the opportunity to answer it I always say the same thing.... Makeup for me is a tool to show all my facets and express what I feel without using words.
I can be sexy and daring with stunning red lips, more demure with a subtle look in pastel tones, show my extroverted personality with a colorful look or just highlight my features with a natural makeup... All this without losing the essence of who I am.
Besides, it allows me to express if I am sad, happy, angry, give my point of view on an issue or protest against an injustice.
Now, there are also people for whom makeup may mean nothing, and that's fine, how boring the world would be if we all liked the same thing, right?
But this is precisely where the key to everything is, the idea is not that we all like the same thing, the idea is to learn to respect what everyone likes.
Some people like singing, dancing, others like painting, knitting, cooking and there are those who, like me, like makeup.
Each of the things I mentioned has its complexity, and for those who think that makeup is just anything, let's talk a little bit about what is behind each makeup.
Let's start with time, although it may seem absurd to some, doing a makeup can take between an hour, three, five and much more, depending on the type of makeup that is done and the materials that are used.
Imagine being all that time sitting down, many times without being able to drink or eat something because we could spoil what we are doing, your neck hurts, your back hurts, you stand up, you sit down, but you keep going, because in spite of everything you are doing what you like and you know that the result is going to be worth it.
But it's not just the time it takes to do your makeup, it's the time you invest in learning, in learning new techniques, what's in trend, plus the money you invest to acquire knowledge, either in makeup classes online or in person.
Earlier I mentioned the materials, the main thing for any makeup artist regardless of the style of their makeup. This obviously implies an economic expense, which is very high by the way, we are talking about buying brushes, eyeshadow palettes, foundations, concealers, lipsticks, glitter, stones, an endless number of things that allow us to realize what we imagine.
Being a makeup artist is not something we do because it is something easy, it is something we do for passion, because we like it, because even if sometimes we get stressed, struggle to stick on false eyelashes, get glitter in our eyes, spoil the blending of the shadows, spend the whole fortnight in material, we know that the effort will be worth it.
And precisely, there is nothing better than getting a space where your effort is valued, appreciated and feel that those hours sitting in front of a camera were worth it, feel that the material you used to make a makeup, was an invested material and not a wasted material.
That's why I like #Hive, because it's a platform that allows you to live with a lot of people with different tastes, with incredible talent, from whom you can learn a lot and who with their comments and votes motivate you to keep going.
However, it is no secret that on a site where so many people live together it is difficult to like everyone, but we fall into what I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the point is not to like everything, the point is to respect the other and their work, a work that has an effort no matter how small it may seem.
In #hive there are a lot of communities, tech, art, music, makeup and each one deserves to be respected. If you don't like a content, easy, don't join that community, but don't damage someone's work for the sake of it.
It's okay to respect the criteria of each person to vote or not a publication or the right of all hivers to vote negative on a content that does not seem of value, but when that right is extended to all the posts of the same community by way of spam or sabotage, it is already considered a mistreatment of the work of each member of the community.
In #hive there are a lot of communities, technology, art, music, makeup and each one deserves to be respected. If you don't like a content, easy, don't join that community, but don't damage someone's work for the sake of it.
Because every positive vote motivates you to continue working and every negative vote motivates you to continue learning and improving, but when that negative vote becomes repetitive, is when people begin to get discouraged, to feel that no matter how hard they try nothing will be enough, plus that negative vote affects the economic scope of the people who make life in #hive, not to mention that there are many whose only income is the one they get from this platform.
This post, does not seek that people stop voting negative, reiterated, all hivers have the right to say what vote they give to each post. What this post does seek is that each person is aware of the vote they give.
Each negative vote made with all the bad intention and as spam is a blow to you, to your talent and to all members of the community.

Espectacular trabajo mi yulsy. Te conozco desde hace tanto en la comunidad y de hecho he extrañado tus Maquillajes y hermosas creaciones nuevamente acá. Todo lo que compartes me ha parecido genial. Tal como dices, todos tenemos aficiones diferentes ya que cada área tiene su complejidad y en el maquillaje esto no es excepción, ya que invertimos muchísimos tiempo y dinero para presentar los mejores trabajos posibles, sin dejar de trabajar en mejorar nuestras técnicas. Eso es merecedor de todo el respeto del mundo, ya que nadie tiene el derecho de menospreciarnos sólo por apreciar cosas diferentes🙌🏻💖
