RE: Editing a new YouTube ‘T-Man Adventures’ video

What kind of lights are those? Do they flicker at all or are they true cine lights? They look great. Also, consistency is not only the key it is the most difficult part of YT. I watched a great video recently that discussed this and likened it to the boring routine of olympic training. Just gotta show up everyday to do the boring, repetitive training.

Sort:

That is very true - all about showing up and putting the hours in.

Lights are these. https://www.simplysoundandlighting.co.uk/equinox-led-pulse-tube

I bought them for a music video shoot.
They’re cheap and versatile, no obvious flicker as far as I’ve experienced but they’re not proper cinema lights.
They’re not that bright in a bright room, but in the dark they’re ace.

They’re remote controlled and battery powered too, with loads of settings. I think DJ’s use them for kids parties and stuff 😆

But hey, they work for us!

That's great! Affordable, flicker-free lights that look great are good enough! Thanks. I've been looking for some LED lights that don't flicker. Unfortunately, my Hue Lights do so they're not as useful for filming.

Cool! Worth a go trying one out (they’re cheap enough) and if not then there fun just to have around the house for when the kids want to dance around to music
