Companies who use the names of historic figures

I made this meme for a reply to someone's post. The post was about a pottery company that borrowed the name "Lord Nelson", the famous British naval officer. Evidently we are to think that amid a busy career at sea he managed to find time to start a pottery business.

It's a fairly common thing that other companies do as well sometimes. I suppose the idea is that people will recognize the name and give the business a closer look than they otherwise would. Does it work? Probably not, but who knows! Worth a try, eh?

Anyway, I figure I'll share the meme here too. Can't waste a meme, after all!
