If Lukyanovo is considered a microdistrict of Vologda, then Kuvshinovo, which is on the opposite bank of the river, already belongs to the Semenkovsky rural settlement.
Kuvshinovo is famous throughout the region for the fact that a psychiatric hospital is located here.
But I'm not interested in it at all, I come for the spirit of the place.
I need the atmosphere of the courtyard spaces and it's just great here.
How can it be bad in a place where pine trees grow on the river bank?
The housing stock here is diverse: from Khrushchev and barracks, to new houses and the private sector.
I once tried to take pictures of the street here during the day - there are few people and there is no movement.
But for night walks, Kuvshinovo is perfect!
There is also a large pine grove.
And the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
The Vologda River makes a sharp turn near the village.
Water lilies grow on the water because of the small current.
There are not a lot of yard spaces here, mostly the entire area is occupied by the private sector.
The river bank, of course, does not allow you to walk along it because of the steep slopes and the willow-overgrown shore.
It is strange that there is no semblance of dugouts here...
The place called Kuvshinovo is old and has a rich history.
But only the mental hospital remained of the story...
One of the courtyards is located very close to the river.
This is the most interesting and cozy place!
To be continued...
