I'm lucky enough to live near Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England and also lucky to have so many superior graffiti artists based around the area. I've done a little urban exploring in my time and it's only recently I realised I've shot so much of the artwork around my area. This is a post with an example from each of the top painters:
This is a very subtle but stylish piece by "Affix" I have found Affix's work to be inspirational and led to a few ideas where I've lightpainted in textures or patterns much the same way as Affix does so well.
This is Rocket01; I cropped in tight on this one:
This is a piece with the incredible "faunagraphic" and her partner in real life, Rocket01:
This is part of a graphic work of art by Rob Lee, @roblee_art. He's more commercial these days, pay him real money and he'll come and paint your walls:
Another favourite by "Pawski" and unfortunately I don't see many works by this one anymore in Sheffield: This is one I shot in the dark with a quad colour flashlight.
And finally, no post about graffiti in Sheffield would be complete without the man himself, @coloquix. I've met this chap many times in some derelict building on my travels and he's a thoroughly good person to know: (Shot through foliage with an 85mm and shallow depth of field).
About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.

Those are amazing!
Thanks @frot I wish I had this much talent! :-)
These are stunning, are they from Attercliffe? Or across the city?
Thanks @grindle, these are from around the city and quite a few don't exist anymore. It's getting harder to find abandoned buildings or places to shoot. Just had another favourite place to shoot in the dark bulldozed....
Yes either trashed by the bulldozer or trashed by the goons! I have a lust of about 8 in Sheffield that I have on my list to do. I have heard that the old team sheds have outstanding wall art, have you been?
Many times to the tram sheds but that's due to be demolished if it already hasn't been. The land is being cleared for a truck workshop I understand. Best one in Sheffield by far just now is in Loxley and our "go to" place for lightpainting.
Best get me skates on !
The one Urbex visit I made to Sheffield last October, I can say I have never seen so much graffiti. When the weather improves I will be back to clear up the loose ends. Managed around 8 explores that day.
Eight is pretty good going.... Let me know when you're back down this way :-)
Got in most except that Canon Brewery, it was sealed.. again.
Apparently it's "do-able" but you have to be anorexic to squeeze in. I am unfortunately built for comfort and not a whippet....
LOL, I used to be skinny, but that was long ago!
