Mi bonito Barquisimeto, una ciudad encajada en la meseta del Valle del Río Turbio, capital del estado Lara y musical de Venezuela, en esta población se encuentra uno de los monumentos mas icónicos de Venezuela, EL MAJESTUOSO MANTO DE MARÍA.
Éste lugar, es el monumento mariano más alto del mundo , su construcción se inició en el mes de Julio de 2014 y fue inaugarado el 13 de enero de 2016, mide unos 62 metros de altura superando al "Cristo Redentor" en brasil que mide 38 metros y la "virgen de la Paz" del edo Trujillo Venezuela que mide 46,72 metros.
My beautiful Barquisimeto, a city nestled in the plateau of the Turbio River Valley, capital of the state of Lara and musical Venezuela, in this population is one of the most iconic monuments of Venezuela, THE Majestic Mantle of Mary.
This place is the highest Marian monument in the world, its construction began in the month of July 2014 and was inaugurated on January 13, 2016, it is about 62 meters high surpassing the "Christ the Redeemer" in Brazil that measures 38 meters and the "Virgin of Peace" of Trujillo Venezuela that measures 46.72 meters.
Se encuentra enclavado en un cerro denominado "Colina del Viento" y que por su ubicación extraordinaria, se puede ver desde toda la ciudad y la vista desde allí, es verdaderamemte espectacular, donde se puede observar las ciudades de Cabudare y Barquisimeto, así como todo el Valle del Río Turbio.
Acá todo tiene un sentido religioso bien estudidado, en el recorrido que va desde el estacionamiento hasta el monumento, se podría rezar un rosário completo, sus puertas miden 7 mts x 3 mts que significan los numeros del universo, los siete (7) dias de la creación del mundo, las sietes (7) palabras, las tres (3) divinas personas, los 33 años de cristo, entre otras cosas.
El arte de estas puertas es llamado "envegesimiento controlado" y en ella encontraran tallado en código braille el Padre Nuestro y el Ave María.
It is located on a hill called "Colina del Viento" and due to its extraordinary location, it can be seen from all over the city and the view from there is truly spectacular, where you can see the cities of Cabudare and Barquisimeto, as well as the whole valley of the Turbio River.
Here everything has a well studied religious sense, in the route that goes from the car park to the monument, you could pray a complete rosary, its doors measure 7 mts x 3 mts that mean the numbers of the universe, the seven (7) days of the creation of the world, the seven (7) words, the three (3) divine persons, the 33 years of Christ, among other things.
The art of these doors is called "controlled ageing" and in it you will find carved in braille code the Our Father and the Hail Mary.
Al entrar subiremos por 296 escalones, con 6 descansos, donde un guía nos explicará de forma divertida la historia de este monumento, de arte cinético. El porque la imagen de la virgen se encuentra a un lado y no al centro y todas las intringulis de ésta obra monumental.
Para terminar este recorrido, llegamos al mirador de 360°, el más alto de Venezuela, con una galería fotográfica que engalana el espacio y muestra de forma cronológica la construcción de la obra.
Éste sitio es verdaderamente mágico, la paz espiritual, la belleza de su vista y la magestuosidad del monumento, lo hace una maravilla de nuestro bello Barquisimeto.
Upon entering, we will climb 296 steps, with 6 landings, where a guide will explain the history of this monument of kinetic art in an amusing way.
Why the image of the Virgin is on one side and not in the centre and all the intricacies of this monumental work. To finish this tour, we arrive at the 360° viewpoint, the highest in Venezuela, with a photographic gallery that adorns the space and shows in chronological form the construction of the work.
This place is truly magical, the spiritual peace, the beauty of the view and the majestic nature of the monument make it a marvel of our beautiful Barquisimeto.

It appears Venezuela 🇻🇪 has a lot of Catholics. The monument of Mary is quite magnificent and could count for a tourist attraction. No e work you did here.
