Old paving

I read about the discovery of an old pavement in one of the yards on Rimsky-Korsakov Avenue on Facebook. The repair was started in this courtyard, and under a thin layer of asphalt, which was laid directly on the stones, a paving was found. The section of the paving in the centre of the courtyard has not been preserved, only individual stones have survived. But looking at the paving stones near the walls one can imagine how this courtyard looked in the past and the century before last.

As in all such cases, a struggle between builders and residents began. Builders want to finish faster and get their money, residents want to preserve the historic site. The Society for Monument Preservation is still thinking about what measures can be taken.

I took some extra pictures of the yard at the same time. I photographed the service outhouse where the stables were probably located and the passage between the buildings on the third floor height.

Great post! I love your work fantastic even with a smartphone, and no filtering!

What does the shop sign tell us?

Thank you! I'm not sure I can translate that clerical language: "центр правовой поддержки и образования трудовых мигрантов". They provide legal support to migrants who come to Russia for work.

That’s interesting, thank you,

An awesome urban dive! Thanks for sharing and keep on exploring!

Thank you!:)
