Unsuspecting Abandoned 1950s House

in Urban Explorationyesterday (edited)

This small an unsuspecting abandoned house that was built in the 1950s, turned out to be quite the explore!

When we approached, we didn't really expect much much of an explore. Maybe some good decay, since the front was looking pretty ruff.

When we got around to the back, things started to look interesting. An old trailer, furniture piled up and overgrown yard furniture all lined the way to the backdoor that has hanging open.

As I walked in I remembered this house from many years ago! There used to be an abandoned motel beside this house and when I walked up to it, to check it out. The owner or tenant of this house came over and told me to get lost. Which makes this a first for me in my decade of exploring, exploring the house of some one who caught me at another location.

The main floor had almost everything left behind including both Halloween and Christmas decorations. With what appeared to be mostly a 1990s décor.

The basement had clearly been flooded and was thick with mold and insects. A small bar, fireplace that had been converted for use with a wood burning stove, strange pictures on the walls, dolls and knickknacks every where, an old clock dated 1906, and even a .22 rifle made the hour we spent in there, very interesting.

Exploring always reminds me not to not judge a book by it's cover! We could easily of passed on checking this one out because the exterior was not very interesting, I am so glad we didn't pass on it!
