Colonial house urbex; Spanish family house

in Urban Exploration4 years ago

The colonial houses of Cambural-Lara were built approximately 200 years ago, according to the people who lived near this site. Three Spanish families lived here and settled down after the war of independence.
Initially they were built of mud bricks, with wooden roofs and tiles, but they were remodeled to preserve them as a heritage site.

As I approach, I can see how the doors and the roof are still intact, very well preserved for the many years they have been standing, although nature is doing its work, there are plants on the tiles and around the corridors.

The first house in sight of the road is completely in ruins, mostly collapsed, you can only see some walls standing. Initially 3 houses were built, but one of them is said to have collapsed completely and there is no trace of it.

I was able to enter the second house, but first observe the front from close up, there are 2 species of cactus growing on the roofs, and lots of weeds and cactus growing around.

The first room in sight, is full of bats, some debris and iron that can be seen on the floor, also the bad smell in this room prevented me from entering to take some pictures of the interior.

Upon entering the hallway you can see how well preserved the house is inside, the roof is still in good condition, and the walls are standing, the walls are a little stained from the rain, but apparently were painted with lime, the paint is not synthetic, is made from lime.

And it seems that a back room has collapsed over time, you can see some debris in the background and the homelessness. Right in this area of the house, the roof has fallen in.

A blue door was the only closed, although I was curious to open it, I was a little afraid not to know that I would find here, some snake, bat, or something else, are said much of these houses, and legends often say that here abound spirits.

Even the tiles at the bottom are well preserved.

It was a small exploration of a very peculiar place that I had always wanted to enter, from a distance it looks like a scary house, and I did not know how it was built. Besides this house is not inhabited for 100-120 years or so, I guess the vandals go to this house, to do something, since there is a lot of recent garbage.

So this was it, I'll see you somewhere else.
