Does lack of support really kill a person’s dream?

Hello hivers, wishing you a happy weekend! This is my first post on this community and i hope to be understood. I really love the poll feature that’s why i chose this topic i tried using it on Ecency waves couple times but failed, it kept on crashing and force closing my app.

So yeah im gonna share the poll question after this short paragraph so that you kmow the essence of the poll.
Now I was much younger I used to draw for hours sitting in one position and giving multiple attempts until the drawing looks exactly like whats in my mind or a perfect replicate of my muse or reference image and with time it became a part of me and started having visions of becoming the next DaVinci or a new generation one maybe but a whole lot of situations around me choked that dream right in his neck so much that i hated to draw but years after i found the light again and decided to create new memories to be preserved in art since i got introduced to hive.
Pencils were my best friends then i even remember making a portrait spending about 270 hours altogether to bring out striking details and hyperrealism but as I grew older I realized something, talent alone isn’t enough when you’re surrounded by silence or when that particular talent isn’t recognised or vaued as much as it should be
No one believed in what I could do, they didn’t even believe the future of the beautiful art they saw as at 8 years ago, in my environment growing up no one saw art as something serious so eventually, I had to chase other things… a degree, a stable life like to just do something practical.

Sometimes I think support doesn’t have to be financial you know it could just be a message like “you’re good at this” that could’ve made a world of difference maybe.

Heres a peek of how i made it:

Disclaimer: Photos are mine and art was made 2019.
