Eight different types?? Hmm. I suppose we probably have different types in Japan, I'm not sure. The word for mandarin oranges in Japanese is sometimes used for all oranges, so it's a little hard to tell. Oh well. This is the time for them. I recently bought a big bag and have been enjoying.

I think some of the oranges have crossed and hybrid. My perception in the pass was that mandarin oranges have ugly looking skin but nowadays they are all so much nicer than in the past. I think if there are any Japanese oranges here, it will be very expensive.

This soup looks tasty and I also like several flavor of soup.

Bitter gourd is quite tricky. Some people don't like it to be too bitter. So you have to rub some salt before you cook if you want to remove more of the bitterness.
