慢品藝術之美 (二) / Savoring the Beauty of Art (Part 2)

近年來，普普風（Pop Art）逐漸受到年輕世代的喜愛，鮮豔大膽的色彩、誇張又趣味的設計，讓空間在瞬間充滿活力，展場上的這隻三米高的普普風狗型擺設，放在那裏都是那麼吸引人的目光，我摸了一下，發現作品的表面光滑如鏡，反射出鮮明的色彩，店員說是採用玻璃纖維製作的，我本來看上了類似風格的普普風座椅，做為擺設，很酷炫，但是坐起來，不舒服。

我在行進間，居然看到我之前在酒展上，看過的藝術酒攤位，真是嚇了我一跳，雖然我當初就覺得它的酒和藝術的結合，真是大加分，酒是好酒，像是銅雕作品的酒瓶，讓酒更具有收藏性，我私下問攤位店員小姐，怎麼他們也在這裡推廣酒，她說，他們是被主辦單位邀請的，最近北中南，很多展會都有邀請他們參展，而且他們的商品就叫藝術酒，也跟藝術有沾上邊，我想想，也是沒錯，身為賣方，當然是盡量把商品投放到可能的市場，試試水溫。

一家賣藝術商品的攤位前面圍了不少人，我湊了過去，看個究竟，原來有批藝術商品在特價，這些藝術商品都很精美，像是傘面印上經典畫作的陽雨兩用傘，或是行李箱面上印上梵谷名畫的行李箱，還有精美人物圖的十二星座藝術提袋，連我都很想要擁有，但是，我合理的懷疑，這些商品好看，但不實用，但是，最後我還是買了個浮世繪保溫杯當作紀念。

葫蘆，自古以來在東方文化中都承載著吉祥的寓意，圓潤的外型象徵著福氣與圓滿，沒想到居然有店家把葫蘆拿來做成桌燈，店家解釋，他們是把葫蘆雕刻和漆藝技法結合，以透雕工法，讓燈光可以透出葫蘆，葫蘆的外殼以漆液保護，當燈光從葫蘆燈具灑出來時，光線不像一般燈具那樣強烈，而是呈現出一種淡雅的氛圍，超夢幻的，這些葫蘆燈具也是超多人詢問的，它算是一種藝術嗎？我覺得光是葫蘆雕刻手法就算是一種藝術了。

有一區，是某大學的美術系碩士專班校友們的作品，作品還蠻多元的，有油畫、水墨畫、壓克力畫等，還有摺紙藝術及雕塑作品，作品我是看不出好壞，但是我猜創作者都是一些是畫得比較好的業餘人士，在這裡聯合展出他們的作品，作品的標價都在萬元台幣上下，我看了一些創作者的自我介紹，都是社會人士，不是剛畢業的學生，或許，裡面真的有些明日之星吧。

In recent years, Pop Art has become more and more popular among the younger generation. With its bold, vibrant colors and playful, exaggerated designs, it instantly fills a space with energy. At the exhibition, there was this three-meter-tall Pop Art dog sculpture. No matter where it stood, it grabbed everyone’s attention. I touched it and realized the surface was smooth like a mirror, reflecting sharp, bright colors. The staff told me it was made of fiberglass. I had actually been eyeing a Pop Art-style chair in a similar design. It looked super cool as a display piece, but honestly, it wasn’t comfortable to sit on.

As I walked around, I unexpectedly stumbled across a booth I’d seen before at a wine exhibition. That really surprised me! Back then, I thought their combination of art and wine was such a brilliant idea. The wine was excellent, and the bottles—shaped like bronze sculptures—made them even more collectible. I quietly asked the staff why they were here promoting wine. She explained that the organizers had invited them, and recently they’ve been invited to exhibitions all across Taiwan. Since their product is literally called “art wine”, it fits the theme well enough. Thinking about it, she’s right. If you’re a seller, of course you’d want to test different markets and see where your product resonates.

At another booth selling art merchandise, I noticed a big crowd gathered. Curious, I went over and found out they were having a sale. The items were all beautifully designed: umbrellas printed with classic paintings, suitcases featuring Van Gogh’s works, and stylish tote bags decorated with zodiac characters in an artistic style. They all looked so nice that even I was tempted. Still, I had doubts about their practicality—pretty, but maybe not that useful. In the end, I couldn’t resist and bought a Ukiyo-e thermos as a keepsake.

The gourd, in Eastern culture, has always been a symbol of good fortune and completeness. To my surprise, one vendor had turned gourds into table lamps. The seller explained that they combined gourd carving with lacquer techniques, using hollow carving so the light could shine through. The outer shell was sealed with lacquer, and when the light came through, it wasn’t harsh like a regular lamp. Instead, it created a soft, elegant glow—really dreamy. No wonder so many people were asking about them. Does this count as art? Personally, I think the carving itself already qualifies as art.

One area of the exhibition showcased works from alumni of a university’s fine arts master’s program. There was a wide range—oil paintings, ink paintings, acrylic works, origami art, and sculptures. Honestly, I couldn’t really judge the quality, but I guessed the artists were talented amateurs showing their creations together. Most of the pieces were priced around NT$10,000. Looking at their bios, I saw that many were working professionals, not fresh graduates. Who knows—maybe some of them will turn out to be tomorrow’s rising stars.
