假期倒计时 Countdown to the holiday【中文/English】

周六早上醒得不算晚,想着反正休息,干脆去生鲜店晃了晃。国庆还有四天就到了,现在买太多吃的容易坏,就没多囤——拿了3根胡萝卜,挑了3条看着挺新鲜的带鱼,还顺手抓了把香菜。讲真,自从日本核废水排海后,海鲜明显吃的少了,今天不知道咋回事,就突然特想吃煎带鱼,也算给周末加个餐。

回家翻了翻冰箱,还有些存货:之前买的梅花肉还有好些,鸡蛋也还有,还有两根藕和一颗包菜,中午的菜不愁了。虽然有时候很馋鱼,但真心做的不好吃,于我而言,处理鱼是一个耗时的大工程,计划煎带鱼,最后跟着视频做了一个红烧带鱼,味道有点小失望,估计好长时间都不会想吃鱼了
吃饱喝足就该干活了,总不能一直瘫着。夏装早该收起来了,压箱底的秋装也得拿出来过下水,晒晒太阳,不过今天天气不太好。

其实这周周六忙点也值,毕竟想国庆回家踏踏实实躺平,现在就得把这些杂事捋顺。除了收拾衣服,一会儿还得想想假期的行程,把该安排的都安排好,到时候才能真的放松下来,不用操心这操心那的。

I woke up reasonably early on the Saturday morning. Since it was my day off, I headed to the fresh market. With National Day just four days away, I didn’t stock up much—fresh food would spoil easily. I grabbed 3 carrots, 3 fresh hairtail fish, and a handful of cilantro. Honestly, I’ve eaten way less seafood ever since Japan released nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean. But today, I suddenly craved hairtail, so I got some as a little weekend treat.

Back home, I checked the fridge and found stock: plenty of marbled pork, some eggs, two lotus roots, and a cabbage—no worry about lunch ingredients. I love fish but I’m bad at cooking it; preparing fish is such a hassle. I planned to pan-fry the hairtail, but ended up making braised hairtail following a video. It tasted disappointing, so I probably won’t want fish for a while.
After eating, I got down to chores—I couldn’t just laze around. I needed to put away summer clothes and wash/dry the autumn clothes from the wardrobe. Too bad the weather wasn’t nice.

A busy Saturday is worth it, though. I want to fully chill out when I go home for National Day, so I need to sort out these trivial things now. Besides folding clothes, I’ll also plan my holiday itinerary later. That way, I can relax properly then without any worries.
