The only thing I miss is capturing good macro shots, but over time, it will probably be possible to do with a phone too. It's great to have the chance to learn how to take amazing pictures. It's not so easy… I also follow this method…taking a few photos and then choosing the best one…but it's important how you do it—shadows, exposure, highlights. Indeed, most of the time a smartphone can replace a camera, and it's much more convenient to carry around.
I have a Canon EOS DSLR, but the photos I take with it aren’t even as good as the ones taken with my phone — it’s really embarrassing.
